High School DxD: Uniquely Romanised Terms

Like many other fantasy Light Novel Series, High School DxD features unique romanizations for many of its unique terms. This almost always consists of Kanji Combinations that describe the item in question. This page might appear a bit messy due to the insane amounts of terms that fit in this category. This page is simply here for reference, and to retain this part of Ishibumi's writing without messing with the entire novel translation, so please do not put these in the translations.

Key Terminology

Evil Pieces - Written (イーヴィル・ピース悪魔の駒, Akuma no Koma (Īviru Pīsu), lit. Devil's Pieces) in the Original LN.

  • King - Written (キング王, Ou (Kingu), lit. King).
  • Queen - Written (クイーン女王, Joou (Kuīn), lit. Queen).
  • Rook - Written (ルーク戦車, Sensha (Rūku), lit. Chariot).
