Epilogue: The Next Territory[edit]

“I can’t find him anywhere…”

A small girl grumbled to herself while lying in bed.

She couldn’t find her big brother.

However, this middle school detective had not been running around town with a magnifying glass. She was running a variety of searches with computers and tablets. The amount of data available there was far greater than in the real world, after all.

The view out the window showed a skyline composed of skyscrapers with a giant shape slowly flying by in the sky above them.

It was more than 2000m wide and shaped like a boomerang. The flying wing craft was in fact a corporate aircraft carrier. Since the Force was bound by laws and treaties, protection of this country’s skies had been privatized. And that was where any wannabe pilot hoped to end up.

It was a familiar sight to the girl.

Although for whatever reason, her brother Yagoro had decided to make friends with the Force instead.

Searching for her missing family member might make her sound tragically determined, but after years with no results, it had become an emotionless routine for her. She had discovered the nightmarish reality that people could grow accustomed to anything and even find it boring.

A gentle knock came at the door.

“Dinner is ready. Mama-sama asked me to call you down.”

“Okay, Athena.”

The sister got out of bed and left her room.

In this place, a disposable tool readily available at convenience stores and vending machines was all it took to summon a real god.

Because it was so easy, the people feared the possibility of gods going on a rampage. In this age, people sought the ability to directly stop a rampaging god, which had created new rules for air combat.

This was Earth.

It was the source of the information witches used to replace the forbidden knowledge they had lost.

The door clicked shut.

A notification had arrived on the phone left on the bed.

It happened when the sister wasn’t watching.

It came from an entirely differently place.

By literally traveling from another dimension.

“That concludes Chapter 12. A new character has been announced! Will you continue to watch Myousou Yagoro’s adventures?”
