Sorcery Hacker has finally reached Volume 4!!

This is Kamachi Kazuma.

This one was set in the capital found right in the middle of the Static Continent’s Combined Royal Family. The past incident related to Ayato and Teleria’s brother was mostly settled at the Academy Towers in Volume 3, so Volume 4 cleaned up the remaining major problem. Yes, the connections with Demon Lord Nirvelphany and the 1st Prince minotaur which are all centered on Queen Astaroth Revolver, the illegally leaked model of humanoid sorcery device prototype.

Why are demons hated to such an unnatural extent?

How did the Academy Towers, the forefront of stripping demons of their rights, come to be?

Why did the hero cut down Demon Lord Nirvelphany?

Why did the 1st Prince minotaur’s experiments for peace end in failure?

…This was a massive conspiracy surpassing the boundaries of a single kingdom, but due to her endless lifespan, a single individual was involved in all the malice seen throughout that long history. In a way, it was almost refreshing to write a villain like that.

And as grandiose as her actions were, I wanted the Queen’s actual objectives to be simple and pure, so I provided two.

The first was to further evolve herself as a revolver which is a cool but, in a way, obsolete weapon.

The second was to show off her beautiful perfected self to get Ayato’s attention again.

That’s all.

She was confident on the surface, but full of complexes on the inside.

Teleria’s issues with her demon nature could possibly have led her down a similar path if she took a wrong turn and wished for what was no longer possible. Some of you probably noticed, but I intentionally gave the Queen some similarities to Teleria. It might be fun to compare where they chose their paths and how they faced their own complexes.

In the end, I had them turn around and return again to Volume 1’s Sky City Celedileka. And the magic Teleria used to save Ayato in Phase 04 is actually the very first healing magic she used in Volume 1 Phase 00. So instead of letting things expand outwards, I chose to have it all loop around to the beginning once it was all over. I’d never tried that before, but what did you think?

I give my thanks to my illustrator HIMA-san and my editors Miki-san, Nakajima-san, Hamamura-san, and Matsuura-san. With so many characters gathering together in such a royal setting, it couldn’t have been easy. Thank you so much. I would love it if we could work together again sometime.

And I give my thanks to the readers. Thank you so much for reading through this far!!

If you read all four volumes, you’re great! It was all of your support that let me finish Sorcery Hacker. As an author, I will never forget that you let me see Ayato and the others’ story through to the end. This is a miracle all of you caused. I can’t ask for anything more than the way you devoured and enjoyed the books from the first character of the first page. If you will allow it, I would like to see you in the next series too!!!

And I will end this here.

With a Sorcery Hacker, I get the feeling he’ll find a way to resurrect himself eventually…
