Talk:Suzumiya Haruhi:Volume6 The Melancholy of Asahina Mikuru ~2nd Trans~
References & Translator's Notes
Yuki as in "having hope"
The kanji for "Yuki" consists of Yu, which literally means "have", and Ki (from "Kibou") which means "hope", so Yuki can be interpreted as "having hope".
- I don't know much Japanese, but can't yuki mean snow? /victor a faithful reader 81.236.16.141 14:58, 26 November 2006 (PST)
If a ghost were to hear him
The Japanese idiom "Even ghosts will laugh at you," is used to criticize people making outlandish claims.
Second law od thermodynamics
The concept of entropy originated from the German physicist Rudolph Clausius in 1862 to define the dispersal or degradation of usable energy (often incorrectly explained as "disorder") in a system. In a theoretical reversible process this amount would remain the same, though in any real process this amount increases (irreversible). For example, if no one had offered to help clean a lazy person's room, the room could only get messier — it'll never be tidied up all by its own.
Discussion
Is this the right one?
It looks a lot like "The Melancholy of Asahina Mikuru" to me.
- Actually it is, but I don't understand the reason of that move (?) DarkoNeko talk 17:06, 21 November 2006 (PST)
- Why is this Melancholy of Asahina Mikuru? I recognize the content too. velocity7 20:44, 21 November 2006 (EST)
thats because the new translator has asked to do "Charmed at First Sight LOVER" which would be a previw, i also asked him to do this one as well, since the current translator is more or less M.I.A. However i mistakenly though the script he sent me was "Charmed at First Sight LOVER" i even read it (but still didn't notice the title!). lol. but i haven't read pass the 2nd volume so how was i to know?
Anyway, since it was up, might as well dump it here, i will continue to contact artic, if he doesn't respond, i'll assume the new translator (in 2 weeks time) will replace the current script.
p.s.: velocity7 is alive! banzai! :)
