    Volume 5, Chapter 3

The next day. It was hot, hot from morning till dawn. It seemed like the hottest day in

years. The weather forecaster even casually said, "We might get roasted in the sun today." I

hope you'll be understanding of the students who have to take their phy sical education

classes outdoors.

This day, I finally went to the girls' section, which I hadn't visited in ages. I've got to go

every once in a while. But entering through the girls' gate was a huge mistake, a terrible

mistake.

    "Natsuru -san is here!"

    "Ahhh!"

To the right of the gate stood the "Sisterhood with Natsuru -san," and to the left, the "Seno

Observation Club" were waiting. Lately, I've been going straight from the boys' section to the

girls', so I'd completely forgotten about these unofficial clubs .

Trapped between the sailor -suited people pressing in from both sides, I was instantly

squeezed to the ground.

    "Wait... wait..."

My refusal was like a small crab resisting a huge wave.

"Natsuru -san, it's been so long since we last saw you! We're so lonely!"

"Please take a picture with me!"

"What do your underwear look like today!?"

    someone shouted unnecessarily.

Later, I heard that, having not been in or out of school for a while, the "deification" of the

female Natsuru was intense. Rumors that Shizuku, who had been leaked from the news club,

was still alive spread, leading to rumors of her "spending the night  with wealthy ladies" and

"traveling to faraway girls' schools to have sex with all the girls." There were even rumors of

her "using hidden powers to fight threatening enemies." It was truly terrifying, to say the

least.

"Natsuru Seno, please sign a sisterly pact with me."

    "Can I touch your butt?"

"I'll serve you for the rest of my life, so please suck my blood!"

Why do I have to do something like Sugawara Bunta and Umemiya Tatsuo in "The Battle of

Jinyi"? Seeing something sacred in blood is just a girl's quirk.

Trying my best to escape the washing machine -like scene that was beginning to drain me, I

headed straight for the second -year classroom. Because I'm a Kämpfer, I run faster than

most, but that also means I've been targeted by the girls' track and field  team.

I finally made it to the classroom and quickly changed my shoes before breathing a sigh of

relief. It's been ages since I've done this. I'm so tired.

As I entered the classroom before first period, I heard applause for no apparent reason.

    "Welcome back, Seno -san!"

    "Long time no see~"

What a hypocritical and enthusiastic welcome.

The class monitor, who had been the first to applaud, came to greet me at the classroom

door.

"We haven't seen you lately. Everyone's been waiting anxiously."

    "Really..."

"We were betting on when Seno -san would start school, and which period. The odds were

pretty high this morning."

So that was the reason. At the back of the room, the accounting students were handing

out the winning numbers. The one striking a triumphant pose was the vice -class monitor.

    "Thanks to you, you've won a lot~ 3Q."

"Seno -san, do you want to bet on the next one? On how many times the homeroom

teacher will be late this month."

    Thanks, but no thanks.

Amidst the meaningless cheers, I took my seat. Akane Mishima quietly approached.

"Well, well... Natsuru -san... do you remember what happened today...?"

    "After school, right?"

    "Yes... that's great."

She breathed a sigh of relief. Am I such a bad -faith person?

"Because... because it's the first time with just the two of us... I'm a little uneasy..."

"Then why don't we invite someone else?"

"Higashida or Nakazawa... that's impossible. If it's a girl, maybe we can invite Sakura

Kaede."

But Akane shook her head hurriedly. "No, no, Natsuru -san and I will be enough. Just the

two of us... I'll try my best..."

Although I don't know what encouragement she was going to give, she was full of the spirit

of hard work. "So Natsuru -san... well... invite someone too..." "... Yeah."

    "Since that's what you said."

Akane breathed a sigh of relief and lowered her head. At this time, the classroom was full

of flowers of gambling topics, and I was invited from time to time but I refused them all. I am

not good at this kind of gambling, and since the accounting stude nts are involved, there must

be a conspiracy.

After a while, the head teacher came, and I concentrated on the class, which was

completely different from when I was in the boys' section.

    After school.

I walked towards the meeting place, which was the same place as the meeting place at

Sakura Kaede's house, but Shizuku was not there today.

I had undone my transformation and turned back into a man, but I didn't care.

I thought I went too early, but Akane was already there, and she waved with a smile.

    "Did you wait?"

    "No, not for long..."

    Akane looked around.

    "You are alone..."

    "Hmm...?"

"This cannot but make people concerned. Are they going to take me to a gathering of

some emerging religion?"

"That's great... I don't want... anyone to cause trouble..."

"Oh... it has nothing to do with religion, right?"

    "Hmm...?"

Should I say 'as expected' or 'of course'? Anyway, it seems like I'm just worrying too much.

Well, Akane is probably the type who has no interest in religion or politics.

We decided to go to the municipal library first.

This library is very large because it is a municipal library. The reading room feels like the

bookshelves are swishing and the ceiling is booming. It is said that during the economic

bubble period, they received an extra budget, so the old building was  renovated in order to

increase its scale and convenience.

    "It's really beautiful,"

Akane explained to me with shining eyes on the way.

"Compared to facilities that are incomprehensible, I think it is definitely better to build

more of these that everyone can use."

"Is this your first time there?"

"No, I've been there several times."

"But this is my first time going with a man," she added shyly.

The library was a brick -colored building, and it was indeed large. It even had a parking lot,

which was rare.

After passing through a double set of automatic doors, we were greeted by an air -

conditioned lobby.

This building has a high, imposing ceiling, yet there's no echo —perhaps it's due to its

sophisticated design and construction. Noisy libraries are outrageous. The luxurious lending

counters are several times larger than those at Seitetsu Academy.

"Let's go to the second floor,"

    Akane tugged at my sleeve.

"Wait a minute, why are we in the library?"

"Well, the books in the library need to be repurchased, and we are here to organize and

investigate them. Specifically, we will organize them using the Japanese decimal system, but

we also plan to buy foreign books, so we have to consider using the Dew ey decimal system."

    "...Oh"

"Every library has its own characteristics, but this time the library of Seitetsu Academy has

to start from scratch, so I think we need sample demonstrations. We can't leave it all to the

administrator, the library committee also needs help, and then I  volunteered."

    "...Oh oh"

It was almost like a list of code words. Even if you told me that this was a design manual for

a nuclear power plant, I would probably believe it.

Speaking of which, Akane was really talkative. She usually kept her head down and spoke

in a low voice, but now her explanations were fast and crisp. Anyone who heard her knew

she loved books.

This was the polar opposite of someone like me who thought "books full of words are

scary." She finished what she was about to say and pulled my sleeve again.

We went up the stairs to the second floor, which had four floors in total.

"Are you taking photos as samples?"

    "No, I'll take notes."

Wow, that's a lot of work.

Akane immediately started at the bookshelf beside her, instantly forgetting about me as

she immersed herself in a sea of books. I wanted to talk to her, but seeing how serious she

was, I gave up.

That way, there was no chance for me to intervene. It was so boring, what on earth was I

even here for?

There were several large tables lined up by the window, and I sat there. A few people, who

looked like students taking exams, were silently scribbling their pens. You're really serious

about this! I'm going to do the same next year.

Right now, I'm just a Kämpfer student. It's not necessarily "insignificant," but it's no big

deal, right? Well, going from male to female is a truly remarkable experience. It's not just a

man dressed as a woman, but a complete transformation from the i nside out. And being

called a beauty is truly remarkable.

But the thought of this possibly continuing makes me a little worried. Right now, we have

to fight, but next year is the college entrance exam. Is it okay for us to be constantly

immersed in this world of battle?

If it were Shizuku, she wouldn't have to worry about it; everything would be fine. That

guy's a perfect student, so getting into the University of Tokyo wouldn't be a problem. She

should be able to master both Kämpfer and studies. In football, they'd b e called all -around

warriors... But that's not right.

Sooner or later I will have to say goodbye to my female body, I thought about these times

when I was in a daze.

I heard a snap and came back to my senses.

For some reason, a book fell at my feet. It was strange, how did this book get there?

    "Sorry~"

When I wanted to pick it up, a hand reached out from the other direction and picked up

the book.

The person holding the book was a woman, should I say she was of good age or

something, I think she should be around the same age as me but I'm not sure. The different

angle from Shizuku made her look very mature. She felt like the type of white -collar  lady who

had just entered society.

    "Are you hurt?"

    "No."

    I replied, I didn't hit anyone.

"Sorry, I was distracted just now."

She lowered her head, she was really polite, there was no need to be like this.

    "No, it's really nothing."

"No, no, no, it would be troublesome if something happened."

    She smiled.

"Because Natsuru Seno is a celebrity."

    "...Huh!?"

    Does this woman know me?

Nervousness filled my whole body, but she still maintained the calmness of an older

woman.

"Oh, I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Yamakawa Ryoka."

She lowered her head to me.

"I'm a sophomore at Seitetsu Academy."

    "Uh... really?"

That's the answer I gave when I realized what was going on. We're from the same school...

um, Yamakawa?

I remembered, this girl was participating in a beauty pageant, singing an anime song on

stage. The theme song of the anime where girls in miniskirts and sailor suits show off their

skills, it's called Moonlight Detective in the Uroyu Police Station.

    After saying this.

"That's Ueda -san. I'm performing magic, and I'm in the Girls' Section, Grade 2, Class 5."

So that's how it is. Sorry for remembering it wrong.

    "I know Seno -san too."

So that's right, but am I really that famous?

"Very famous. Speaking of Seno -san from Grade 2, Class 4, Girls' Section, isn't she always

so lively, both boys and girls?"

I was about to say "Is that so?" when I was startled. Does this person know I'm in the Girls'

Section?!

    "I'm a Kämpfer, too."

Yamakawa's right hand was clearly reflecting light. What was she holding? Oh wow, a

machine gun. It looked exactly like an Israeli Uzi.

She aimed the gun at me, and then it vanished.

    "Please don't make a fuss."

"...How can I make a fuss?"

"I didn't mean to shoot here. The library isn't a place for fighting, although it seems some

people have fought before."

Is that ironic? From knowing me, it can be seen that she should also know about the riot at

school.

"Then don't show me that thing."

"I'm afraid you won't believe me if I don't show it to you."

    "I believe you."

It's confirmed that you are a Kämpfer. But does taking out a weapon mean that you are

now in your transformed state? After all, her aura on stage is closer to her real age, not as

white -collar as she is now.

    "You are my...enemy, right?"

    "Yes."

    "Are you...red?"

Looking at her right hand, but it was blocked by the long sleeves. There must be a bracelet,

but I don't know what color it is.

    "No"

    "Huh?"

Yamakawa's eyes were a bit mysterious. I tried to confirm the color of the oath bracelet

without looking at her face, but I couldn't see it. After the transformation, it should be

glowing at least a little.

She knew what I was looking at but she wouldn't show me. Hmm... was she hiding it on

purpose?

"Seno -san, I think you've heard what Sayaka said. Have you made up your mind?"

    "Which one of you?"

    "Yes."

It really sounded like a sales promotion explanation for a new product. Although it was

forceful, it was very steady and calm.

"It would be a huge help if Seno -san was willing to come."

"That girl said the same thing, what's going on?"

    "We're shorthanded."

    "...Is that true?"

"Half true. If Seno -san were here, the shortage would be solved. Because...it would make

the battle with President Shizuku and Mishima -san easier."

Is it a math problem? After all, it involves changing two numbers.

"That's why we went to the trouble of inviting you."

"Thank you for your help. Over and over again in such a short time."

"Because Sayaka said she wanted to see your strength no matter what. Magic is rare, and

she was very impressed."

Come to think of it, besides me, I've never seen anyone use magic. I thought this lighter -

like ability was unpopular.

"If Kondou Mikoto was with us, we wouldn't have to go through so much trouble.

Unfortunately, President Shizuku got there first. So she set her sights on Seno -san. What do

you think?"

Although there is no reason for her to be with Shizuku, there is no reason for her to go to

your place either. Come to think of it, isn't there an option to give up Kämpfer and return to

live a peaceful life as an ordinary person? Why do girls who beco me Kämpfer like to fight so

much?

"Would you like to come to our place?"

    "..."

"They are all beauties, basically participating in beauty pageants."

Yes, that was when Sakura Kaede was distributing dirty dolls. If you turn into a Kämpfer

because of that, then it's true that there are only beauties over there.

But how should I put it, as for beauties, here is Shizuku, she is also one of the two... three

most beautiful women in Seitetsu. Akane and Kondou Mikoto are also okay, you can't choose

based on appearance.

Yamakawa was not anxious at all, was my reaction within her expectations?

    "There are also special guests."

    "Huh...?"

"I think Seno -san will be very happy."

What the hell, you want to lure me over like this, is this some kind of business trick?

    "Let me tell you..."

    "Natsuru -san"

    Akane's voice came from behind.

    "Sorry... I kept you waiting..."

Because she was surrounded by schoolbags, she looked very happy. The notebook in her

hand was full.

"Are you bored? I'm almost done here..."

    "Akane, wait a moment."

She turned around and saw that there was no one there.

    "Huh..."

    "What's wrong?"

    Akane tilted her head.

"Um, did you see someone here just now?"

    "Is anyone there...?"

    She looked incredulous.

She disappeared in an instant. What speed is that? This is what lightning speed means.

Could it be an illusion?

    "...Is it... a woman?"

    "Yes, a woman."

    "She’s still a beauty, right…"

Akane’s expression seemed a little sad. After all, she was pretty, after all, she was a beauty

pageant contestant.

    "Do you know her…"

Not really, I guess, I just met her.

    "No."

"Is it so boring to come to the library with me…"

    "That’s not what I meant."

She must have misunderstood something, although it is true that I’m bored here with

nothing to do. I quickly changed the subject.

"Hey, Akane, do you know a girl named Yamakawa Ryoka in the fifth class of the second

grade of the girls’ section?"

"I know her…it’s just her name. She participated in a beauty pageant."

Oh, is that so? Then she also has a dirty doll.

But why does she want me to join them? And it seems like she wants to separate me and

Shizuku. I'm really confused. By the way, why me?

    "Natsuru -san...what's wrong? It's a bit strange..."

    "Ah...sorry."

    "We're going out."

    "Are you ready?"

"Yes, let's go to the bookstore now."

This time Akane took my little finger and left.

It was getting dark after we left the library. It seemed that we stayed in the library for quite

a long time.

Akane walked back the same way, going back to the station.

    "It's here."

She brought me to a chain bookstore a little distance from the station. I had passed by it

before but never been inside. Comics and magazines are all bought at convenience stores.

Akane seemed a little disappointed just now but now there is no sign of that at all. Instead,

she looks very excited. It must be because I came to the bookstore. She really loves books

from the bottom of her heart.

This building is three stories high. The first floor is magazines. I only took a quick glance

and saw a lot of magazines I didn't know. The quantity is completely different from that in

the convenience store. They bought such a large amount of goods. C an volume really bring

profit?

Akane climbed the stairs, it seems there is a book she wants. She didn't talk to me, but her

steps were very fast.

I hurried to catch up with her and went to the second floor where novels were sold.

Here, Akane approached a bookshelf without hesitation and checked the back cover of the

novel. I took a look too, and saw the title printed with katakana. It looks like a translation, it's

science fiction. For me, who once wanted to read "2001: A Space  Odyssey" but gave up after

seeing the monkey waving a bone, it was simply alien reading.

Akane pulled a book from the bookshelf and started reading.

"Akane, are you buying this for the school?"

    "..."

    "Akane?"

No, there was no reaction at all. She was reading the book intently from behind her

glasses. Is there any plot that interests her? Is it okay to just stand and read like this?

It seemed that she put this book back and took out another one just to make sure.

I didn't talk to her either, I knew she wouldn't react. She exuded the aura unique to book

lovers, and her feet seemed to be rooted, not moving. Like some kind of seeker.

I tried to move away a little, but sure enough, she didn't notice. She was too focused on

reading. Well, her profile with such concentration is really unremarkable... No, it's quite cute.

What should I do? I heard that there are comics on the floor above, but when I went up, I

saw that they were all wrapped in transparent plastic bags. Huh, was I seen through?

There was no way I could go downstairs again. As for Akane, it would be okay if I ignored

her. She would catch up with me after she realized I was gone.

I went outside through the automatic door and met a familiar face.

    "...Ah~! Natsuru!"

Such a loud voice, it was indeed Kondou Mikoto.

    "Why are you here!?"

    "That's my line, right?"

It wasn't just Kondou Mikoto, the one next to her was Shizuku, wow.

"Well, I went out to play with that Ueda classmate,"

    Kondou Mikoto said,

"and now I'm going home and meeting up with the president."

"That's great, tell me what happened,"

I pretended to be very interested,

"Okay, we're going to the restaurant, let's go together."

    "Uh..."

"What? It's almost time for dinner, and I won't be going to your house to cook for you

today."

    "That's not what I meant..."

The automatic door of the bookstore opened, and a girl walked out.

Akane looked very apologetic, holding a blue plastic bag from the bookstore.

"I'm sorry, Natsuru, I kept you waiting for so long... I'm the type who forgets everything

else when I'm studying..."

Akane's words were stuck here, and she looked alternately at Kondou Mikoto and Shizuku

as the words were about to come out.

    "...Ah..."

    "Oh~"

    Kondou Mikoto's eyes turned serious.

    "Did we affect your date?"

    "Idiot, don't get me wrong,"

I denied it in public. I have no plans to date any woman other than Sakura Kaede, and it

would be disrespectful to Akane. Although Akane looked at me unhappily and lowered her

head for some reason.

    "It's just an ordinary matter."

"It's an ordinary matter between Akane and I. Oh~ That's why you rejected my invitation."

"Didn't I tell you that I had something to do?"

"This is what I mean by something to do."

    Kondou Mikoto glared at Akane.

"Even though this guy said that, you two were on a date, right?"

    "..."

    "Silence means YES."

    "Don't make decisions casually."

I said. Kondou Mikoto insisted that "This is the Middle East style, it's like this in Syria."

Wouldn't the Arabs be angry if they heard it?

"Akane said she wanted to confirm the books purchased by the library, so I just

accompanied her. You and I are both responsible for letting the books get into trouble."

    "Even though Natsuru said that"

    "..."

"Your goal is to be together?"

    "..."

    "Oh~"

Kondou Mikoto showed a cold and wicked smile.

"Well~ I'll listen to you guys talk about this later. Let's go to the restaurant for dinner first,

what do you say, President?"

    "Yeah."

Shizuku, who had been silent the whole time, said in a tone even colder than usual.

    "I want to listen too."

We went to the restaurant across from the station, an Italian restaurant to be exact, as we

were a group of four. Although it was a privately run restaurant, the atmosphere was not

solemn and the prices were relatively cheap, so we high school students could easily

patronize it.

Only about 20% of the seats were occupied, and it was full of students like us. The number

of pedestrians in this area drops dramatically at night, so the flow of customers is probably

less. Business should be good during the day.

We sat by the window and ordered a few dishes. I had fried squid and pasta because I was

hungry and had to eat.

It wasn't really a meal at all. I felt like I was being tortured. For some reason, Kondou

Mikoto refused to mention Kämpfer.

"Why did you lie to me about going on a date with Akane?"

"I told you it wasn't a date, it was just my job as a library committee member."

"You're not a library committee member, aren't you too bothered to do these things?"

    "Just helping out."

"You're using helping as an excuse to ask Akane out on a date? What a scumbag."

"How did it come to this? How did I become a scumbag?"

"Do you think you're such a smart person? Don't be so self -righteous."

    "That's not what I meant!"

Ah... no progress. It was getting dark, and today was going to end in a non -productive

conversation.

Akane lowered her head, mumbling something. Why is Kondou Mikoto like this? Shizuku

was speechless, but the pressure was terrifying. What was going on with this dining table?

"But you, didn't you go on a date with Ueda -san?"

"How can there be a date between girls? Are you crazy?"

"So what happened there? That's the key point."

    "...Maybe it wasn't Kämpfer."

Shizuku said suddenly. She always speaks up suddenly to attract everyone's attention. She

really has leadership skills.

"You can't say that about ordinary people, right?"

"It was an ordinary girl, although I saw it from a distance."

Kondou Mikoto seemed very dissatisfied with me for interrupting her question, but she

also agreed.

"I think Ueda -san is not Kämpfer. She doesn't have that, the bracelet of oath."

Kondou Mikoto pointed to her right wrist. This is indeed an important piece of evidence. If

this glows, we will transform. And I can't take it off no matter what I do, although I'm used to

it.

"That means there is no connection."

"Well~ Although I always feel that there is something~"

Kondou Mikoto said in a low voice,

"That means you have come here in vain."

"It's so annoying, don't say it's in vain. By the way, speaking of your date..."

    "It's not a date, right?"

I asked Akane for her consent, but she turned her head away and didn't say anything. Oh

no?

"You let us work, and you're out there on a date? And you're so happy about it, are you

doing it for me to see?"

"No, and why would I care about you that much?"

"Please care about me a little bit. We're childhood sweethearts, right? Just be honest and

tell me everything."

This is too much trouble. Are you my mother?

"So, where did you go on a date? You didn't say we had a great time at the amusement

park, did you? I won't let you off."

    "The library."

"Stop lying. That wasn't a date. That was academic research."

"I said it was library committee work. We went to the library, not anywhere else."

"Really? How could that be a date?"

    "I said it wasn't a date!"

I insisted. I had no choice but to insist. Dating women other than Sakura Kaede was not

allowed.

Akane, who was sitting next to me, just kept saying, "I think there are dates like this...". You

can't joke like that, right? I guess I have to remind her soon.

"If Seno -kun doesn't want to tell the truth, forget it." This is what Shizuku said. I told you I

didn't lie.

"What are you doing in the library?"

"Anyway, we're doing something bad with Akane,"

Kondou Mikoto said nonsense. How can we do bad things in such a quiet place?

    "We're checking things."

"That's Mishima -san, right? Where's Seno -san?"

"Uh... sitting there in a daze."

    "What about the others?"

    "Nothing..."

"Are you alone? Don't tell me Mishima -san is with you."

Uh, how did you know... No, wait a minute.

Now even I understand, this is Shizuku's unique method. This woman, when questioning,

always makes the other person uneasy before confessing. She'd be incredibly strong at poker,

but how could I possibly fall for the same trick?

    "It was... alone."

    "Ah."

"I don't know what you're trying to say, President, but I've been in the library and had

nothing to do, so I slept."

    "Really?"

Shizuku didn't even glance at me, turning her gaze towards Akane.

Akane huddled down. If she were in bulldog mode, she'd definitely fire a shot here, but

now she was so weak she couldn't even escape.

"Mishima -san, is Seno -san alone?"

"Uh...uh, she was alone when I saw her..."

    she said weakly,

"It seemed like he met a certain woman...a beautiful woman I know..."

    "Hey, wait a minute,"

    I interrupted hurriedly,

"What beautiful woman? Although those who participate in beauty pageants are

considered beauties, I don't know her..."

I suddenly realized and closed my mouth, and everyone stared at me.

    "...Uh, this..."

    "Nat~su~ru~"

    Kondou Mikoto's eyes widened.

"Isn't it enough that you already know these girls? How many people around you will you

want to take into your harem?"

"Is it a misunderstanding? I really don't know her."

    "Really? Who?"

    "Yamakawa Ryoka...ah"

    "Don't you know her?"

Oops, I let the cat out of the bag. I had to curse myself for my loss of composure. Kondou

Mikoto's hand was about to reach my throat again.

"Who is this Yamakawa to you!"

"Is she participating in a beauty pageant?"

    Shizuku said calmly.

    "It's Kämpfer, right?"

    I could only nod.

    "Kämpfer...is she...the enemy..."

"Why are you hiding this from us!"

Akane whispered, and Kondou Mikoto yelled. Don't tell them all at once. While Prince

Shotoku could listen to ten people at once, I can't with two.

"Listen to me, I'm not hiding anything from you!"

"You're not hiding anything! Or are you saying something the enemy did to you? Was it

seduction?"

"No, they're saying all sorts of weird things, and I was wondering if I should tell you."

    "What?"

    "Uh..."

    "Let's say they're our companions."

Someone nearby mentioned a girl at the table who looked healthy and fresh. She seemed

to be looking down at us with amusement.

I recognized her face, but Shizuku spoke before anyone else.

    "It's Minagawa Hitomi."

Yes, Minagawa, a third -year student. She also competed in beauty pageants, so I knew who

she was.

    "Are you Kämpfer, too?"

    "Very clever."

Hitomi's facial features remained largely unchanged, but her hair had turned a striking

shade of green.

We were the only customers in the shop, and it had been us.

"To get Seno -san to be your companion?"

"Yes, I'm here to meet him."

    "Hey! I haven't replied yet."

"No, there's no need for a reply."

From the tone of her voice, it seemed as if she had said everything that needed to be said,

and there was no need to consider me at all.

    Shizuku narrowed her eyes,

"What's going on? It's not us, but Seno -san."

"As expected of the president, you hit the nail on the head."

Hitomi didn't say anything else, but stretched out her hands.

Her palms glowed white, and a premonition flashed through my mind, oh no.

I jumped with all my strength, and not only me, but Shizuku, Kondou Mikoto, and Akane all

scattered at the same time.

While jumping away, I transformed into a Kämpfer. At the same time, the light bullet

released from Hitomi's hand shattered the glass gorgeously.

    "What..."

I blocked the flying glass fragments with my arms.

"You actually vandalized public property. I'm going to call the police."

"Don't worry, this is my father's store."

Is this the reason why the customer suddenly disappeared? The chefs in the kitchen must

have gone out too.

Hitomi's is magic, and I'm the first one besides me. What came out wasn't fire, but

something resembling a light bullet.

    It was quite magnificent.

"The light bullet flew in like a colorful light hanging from the ceiling of a club. I couldn't

hear any explosions, but they must have been suppressing it on purpose. My eyes would

have flashed if I had looked at it directly."

    "Don't be ridiculous!"

Akane's voice was in bulldog mode.

"Are you at the entrance of the pachinko parlor? You're dodging!"

Gunshots were heard. Akane, hiding under the table, shot at Hitomi, but missed.

"Your mouth is filthy, just like the mediator said."

"Are you working for that bastard? Just in time, go to hell!"

Another shot was fired, and Hitomi transformed the light bullet into a shield to defend

herself. It was a strange way to use it.

Akane stood up and forcibly pushed the table over, using it as a shield. I imitated her and

did the same.

Hitomi stood in the middle of the store. Although she didn't stand like Niou, she looked

very calm. We surrounded her in a semicircle.

With a whoosh, a short sword with a lock flew towards Hitomi, but was deflected by the

light bullet. However, Shizuku immediately pulled the lock back as if she had expected it.

"You are really brave to show up alone."

    said the student council president.

"Because this week is the meeting week with Seno."

    Hitomi said perfunctorily. Why me?

"Are you... coming to meet Seno?"

"That's right, the invitation to the president has been given up."

Both of them are third -year students at Seitetsu Academy, so maybe they know each other.

Shizuku is already a celebrity, and Hitomi's photo has been published in a sports magazine.

    "So please behave yourself."

"You want to take on four people alone? Are you confusing bravery with innocence?"

    "That's not the case."

Suddenly, there was a commotion outside the shop.

I turned around and looked through the broken glass window. There were figures outside.

There were three girls: Yamakawa Ryoka, Nakao Sayaka, and the little girl who attacked us

at Sakura Kaede's house. The last girl looked a bit like Ueda Makie.

Shizuku checked outside for a moment.

    "Are those our companions?"

"I gathered everyone. Don't you think they're pretty cool?"

"I don't agree with your taste."

"I want to ask, isn't that girl Ueda Makie?"

"Ah. It's Ueda's sister, Rika. Ueda received a dirty doll, but I heard she gave it to her sister."

    "And then..."

    Shizuku blocked the dagger.

"It seems they won't let us... go back like this."

"Of course they will. At least they'll let you stay, Seno -san."

It's me again. It's always like this lately. Am I some kind of prize?

"How is that possible, you bitch?"

Akane yelled. This woman is always so loud.

"You're leaving, you idiot! You're such a bad taste! If you want to pick up a man, go find

someone else. There are plenty of handsome guys."

"Damn it! We're not interested in the male Seno -san."

This line was actually quite hurtful.

"We're looking for the female Seno -san for something. Don't worry, we're not interested in

Mishima -san either."

    "Don't worry!"

Akane fired, and Hitomi expanded the light bullet into a huge membrane.

The membrane exploded as the bullet hit, filling the restaurant with light. Just then, Hitomi

fled from the restaurant.

    "Get out!"

    Shizuku yelled.

    "It's dangerous here!"

We did as she was told. Not only me, but Akane and Kondou Mikoto also escaped through

the back door or the broken window.

The moment we escaped, the Italian restaurant collapsed.

It is said to be broken, but the collapse is only inside, the exterior is still fine. But it is still

scary enough, the consequences of those things hitting the head are unimaginable.

Avoiding the flying glass and wood chips, I hid in the corner of the nearby building.

There is no one else, everyone has scattered. This is terrible, we will be defeated one by

one. It would be better if not only us but also the other side has scattered.

I lowered my body to hide from the eyes, and at this time someone crawled over.

    "Who is it..."

Just when I was about to say this, I was hit by a gun.

"I have been looking for you for a long time, Natsuru."

Good evening, Miss Bulldog, I hope you are well.

Akane's eyes were burning like a scorching flame, and I can feel and hear the burning

sound.

She put the gun to my chin.

"You bastard, you are in cahoots with those women."

"How is that possible, you know that too."

"You know nothing, you want to betray us, you bastard. I will beat you into a hornet's nest

right here and throw you into the sewer."

    "Wow, don't be like that."

I hastily pulled my chin away from the gun, and the next moment, I heard a gunshot and a

bullet flew into the air. Look, they actually fired!

This guy always does things for real, so it's terrifying.

    "What if you die?"

"That's something to celebrate, more so than the release of the Aquila sequel."

"Your metaphor is so hard to understand."

    "So, you're going to die!"

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a flash of a locked sickle flying between me and Akane.

    "Ooooh!"

    "Wow!"

I half -pivoted and leaped into the darkness. Out stepped that little girl, Rika, Ueda Makie's

younger sister.

    "Found you~"

She seemed delighted, looking like she really enjoyed the sight of blood.

"It's been so hard looking for you~ Wake up!"

    "Wow, you bastard!"

Akane halted her execution and turned the gun towards Rika.

"Just play with your toys, little kids. I won't show any mercy. I hate kids, red lights, early

morning math classes, after -school tutoring, and anime with broken graphics."

"I don't like girls who act like dogs either."

"Don't treat me like an animal. Go to hell!"

She fired, not just one shot, a terrifying burst. Flames shot out of the muzzle like a snake's

tongue.

    "Whoa!"

Rika swung her shackles in defense, but she probably couldn't dodge, so she rolled on the

ground to avoid the bullets.

"Natsuru, what are you daydreaming about? Kill that brat!"

You have no qualms about killing people, it's terrifying.

Of course I was going to attack too, I put force on my palm. I wouldn't be able to sleep well

if I killed her, so I controlled my strength and shot out flames.

The fireball flew towards the tumbling Rika, hit her, and bounced off.

    "Ah~"

Rika rolled and hit her head on the trash can of the Italian restaurant. Her face was

distorted and cute.

    "It hurts~"

    "Haha, you deserve it."

As expected of Akane, she laughed even with tears in Rika's eyes. This woman really lives

in a place far away from sympathy.

"It's useless to waste time, just die now."

"Huh, huh~~~ Do you think I will be killed so easily?"

"I do, I think I'm much better than those people who line up at the anime exhibition in the

hot summer. Those are no longer human beings."

At this point, a blade flashed white from another direction, knocking away Akane's pistol.

"Can you please stop bullying children? She is my friend's sister."

It was Sayaka. She stood before us, a cavalry sword in one hand, protecting Rika.

    "Rika, you've been wronged!"

"Oh my god! That bitch is mean! Kill her!"

"That's what she said, so please give me a try, Mishima -san."

"What? Isn't that Nakao from the library committee?"

Beneath her expression, a look of surprise.

"You're Kämpfer, I didn't think there was a library committee member so careless."

"I've always thought Mishima -san was too formal."

"Why are you talking so ladylike? Have you been watching 'Godspeed?'"

"Mishima -san's mouth is dirty too. Have you been watching gangster movies?"

"...Ha, what an unpleasant conversation! It seems that's just the way Kämpfer is."

Beneath her pistol, she aimed it at Sayaka's forehead.

"I accept your challenge. To me, one person and two people are the same. I've been very

busy with the library committee work lately and I'm very annoyed. I'll take it out on you."

Without waiting for the other party to reply, Akane pulled the trigger.

    "Ah, how wild."

Dodging the bullet, Sayaka started to run, intending to rush over before the next bullet was

fired.

How could I let you succeed? Even a foul -mouthed bulldog is still my partner. I turned my

palm towards Sayaka.

At this time, the sickle passed by my eyes.

    "I'm your opponent, little scoundrel~"

Rika had already stood up, smiling. Although this smile matched her age, it was

murderous.

"Although I won't kill you, you will definitely be hurt."

    "...Don't be ridiculous."

I faced her head -on, ready to attack.

Akane and I confronted Rika and Sayaka respectively.
