Hi, I go by qhp online. I'm an English speaker with an unending interest in languages. While my focus is primarily on the Asian languages (specifically Chinese, Japanese, and Korean), I'm also practicing Spanish and Russian on the side. Professionally, I work in computer security and frequently travel as a result. This traveling is what pushed me to become proficient in languages to which I paid little attention in the past. I hope that my helping with translations here at Baka-Tsuki will improve my foreign language skills and my written English prose.

I'm more involved with the visual novel (VN) community than the LN community, so you can probably find me wherever VNs are discussed. If you're interested in translating a visual novel and need help in any role, I'm your guy! Send me a message and I'll be more than happy to help if the project seems fun.

I've recently picked up manga scanlation; I can do every aspect of it proficiently if the writing isn't overly complex. The hardest part is finding good manga that don't have active translation efforts ongoing! Feel free to send suggestions my way.
