Cautr said you're hard to get ahold of, so just in case, I'm gonna copypaste the letter I sent you.
I'm translating Usotsuki Mii-kun into russian from your english translation. There are some parts I don't understand, but first I really want to thank you for taking up this light novel. I don't think there are alot of people capable of TL'ing a text with this level of difficulty adequately. The result reads less like a light novel aimed at school kids and more like a serious novel. From what Cautr said I gather Hiyono is largely to praise for the proffesional-tier style of the text, and saying that I appreciate his skills would be an undestatement. So thanks to both of you guys for the awesome work you've done and I hope you keep it up. Half of the reason I started translating Usotsuki is the flow and complexity of the english, seriously.

So here are my questions from chapter 1. Hope you are willing and have the time to help me out.

1) On my eighth step, I flipped around and took a bite of one of her apples without asking.

(did he throw the apple in the air for some time or did he suddenly turn around?)

2) The deluge of cool teardrops ran down her neck and shoulders and collected in a puddle which soaked her surroundings.

(the puddle I sort of can imagine, but the part about soaking HER surroundings doesn't seem to make much sense. Is this literal? Or is there some meaning I don't know about? I mean, a little puddle can't soak much of what falls into the category of "one's surroundings". The clothes - maybe.)

3)They rode the ferris wheel and the boy sniffed his girlfriend’s shoes.

(okay, is sniffing a girl's shoes just part of the narrative's weirdness? Or does it mean smth else?)

4)“So what would you like to eat? Icanmakeanything.”

“Then anything you don’t like sounds good to me.”

(He then goes on to say that this is an esperanto joke. Is it really and if so, what's the joke?)

5) By the time I released her from my embrace, Mayu’s face was tinged with red and her expression, like the cluster of charm she was, had bloomed into an attractive smile.

(dunno, I though that if we're talking about her expression, then it should match with "like the cluster of charm IT was" and not "SHE was".)

6) We even had a child. Things were escalating faster than in the “Hand of the Heavenly Bride.”

(is this a reference to dragon quest five which has the same title? If it is then maybe add a footnote?)

7)The only commonality between them was the cuff tying their legs to a nearby pillar

(cuff as in handcuffs? But then why singular and how can it "tie" anything? The other definitions I found make even less sense in the context.)
