I don't know about the first but "Ki-chatta", in these circumstances can mean "I came over (for a visit/to play/etc)" or "I've come over (for a visit/to play/etc)" or something similar (See [http://au.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20101029041029AAaVyNV here]). I still say "I came over (to play)" sounds much better. "Ki-chatta" kind of gives that feeling from what I've seen in anime and manga examples.
