LoL, I was thinking of the same thing when I saw the illustration. There are 2 possibilities here:
No, looks like I did. Turns out I mixed up the names for Kirche and Sylphid and I hadn't realise until now. Thanks very much, Cataccountant!
 
A. The Chinese translators made a really elaborate mistake. The character really does sound like Illococoo to me and, you have to admit, Illococoo and Kirche sound a bit different.
 
B. The illustrator is bad at drawing in black and white. I would go with this one, since if you take a few more looks, she does have a tiny bit of resemblalance to Illococoo if you study the long hair and the posture which makes her seem like she's having fun with the tank, something which I doubt Kirche would ever make. Otherwise, she absolutely looks like Kirche.
 
I just noticed a collar on Kirche's/Illococoo's neck. Will that tell us which one is inside the image? One other thing, in volume 14 chapter 8, it definitely said that Saito met Kirche where the Panzer was being stored. So I definitely think that the image is Kirche. - Cataccountant
 
 
Hmm, point taken. I just realised that Illococoo sort of disappeared after that, while Kirche appeared out of nowhere. Damn, this is frustrating. LOL
