May I Welcome you to the Baka-Tsuki Project, I'am current acting as the assistant representative for thelastguardian as he prefer to take a back seat as he's alittle busy these days.
As you have just registered may i suggest you read the Format Guideline page, which is advised for all new contributors.
I have seen you have an interest in contributing as a translator, which is great since we always need translators! (^^)
But before you start, we must ask that all new translators to contact thelastguardian of your intention to be a project translator. After he has acknowledge your petition he will add you to the project translators group.
However I do not see any problems why he would refuse you, so all i ask you to temporarially refrain from any large translated contribution, until thelastguardian has added you to the list.
But In mean times while you wait for the reply, please feel free to edit.
