::Da~Mike, you really should just go ahead and edit. At least that's my opinion. Spelling is the ''easiest'' thing to correct, since it's ''(mostly)'' automatable, so don't worry about British vs. American. Help in catching grammar flaws far outweighs the odd Am/Brit spelling switch.

Hello The Naming Game,

I'm the Assistant Representative for thelastguardian who is currently absent due to RL commitments.

I have been impressed with the quality & quantity of edits you have contributed, and i would like to ask if you would join the project as a dedicated editor? While it's an open source project, we like to have a number of editors who we know will patrol the chapters and make sure they are kept within the guidelines. Unfortunately there is no benefits when you become a project editor, except perhaps having your name glorified on the front page, and the admirations from fangirls everywhere.

Well ok, perhaps not. (^^;)

But either way, i hope you consider this, if you accept this, simply mover your name on the front page to the Dedicated editors list.

once agan I thank you fro your contribution on behave of Baka-tsuki, and i hope you continue to stay and help us no matter what your decision.

Faithfully,

Onizuka-gto 07:32, 6 May 2006 (PDT)

Well, the name link on the front page is a benefit as far as I'm concerned. When I find the organizational ability to get my act together, I plan on using that front page name link to advertise for people to help make a Suzumiya Haruhi doujinshi. (What better place to advertise but here, where countless Haruhists pass through?) That's the plan, anyway.
Which pretty much means I accept. I'm warning though, that I'm planning on editing in more or less book order, except for the short story chapters that aren't spoilers. And I think only the basketball, and soon the island stories will have that distinction. I still might avoid them just in case, though. That means I might lie fallow for awhile, depending on the order translations get done.

Hey The Naming Game. Many thanks for the clarifications you made in Chapter 7's discussion page.

Yes and many apologies for some of my suggested changes... ^^;; I have now noted that I will inevitably spell things according to Standard British English and see anything otherwise as incorrect unless justified... ^^;; This has led me to update my "profile" page where I have highlighted my editing agenda from now on: I'm not going to edit anything myself... I'll only mention the points I've noticed and suggest rectifications in the respective discussion pages.

Every editor is bound to be more receptive on certain aspects of English than another; just as how I missed a shocking plethora of grammatical faults in the raw translation where other editors picked up on. I'm sure you've made plenty of corrections that I haven't noticed just yet.

Regarding the very long response to the "sentence order post", please take your time. I have a penchant for "over-writing", evident in just about anything I do with English (essays/emails/posts .etc). So I'm sorry for not making it any more concise than that... ^^;;

Cheers for the tip on the "show changes" button.

Da~Mike, you really should just go ahead and edit. At least that's my opinion. Spelling is the easiest thing to correct, since it's (mostly) automatable, so don't worry about British vs. American. Help in catching grammar flaws far outweighs the odd Am/Brit spelling switch.
With respect to the "sentence order" post - believe me, I'm the master at taking my time to do things. I will get around to it though, as I've half written something already.
