Discussion for the japanese translation[edit]
We have decided to use the chinese version as template and fill in the missing parts from the original japanese version. It's not perfectly authentic like a from the ground up translated japanese version. For previous discussions refer to the chinese translated section on the project main page. --Ushwood 05:41, 27 August 2011 (CDT)
Differences from the chinese-translated version:
- "Ion cannons" replaced with "laser cannons";
- Gurinshia changed from male to female;
- The text correction (missing line added): from
- "Captain, you can stop teasing me," replied Arubofu, "This also pertains to my life as well!"
- "Just thinking about my own insignificant life has already overwhelmed me!" Arubofu explains.

- The exchange between Lafiel, Gurinshia, and Arubofu is awkward when translated to English. "I guess" is not a response you would hear on the bridge of a ship in the midst of battle, especially from Lafiel, much less an Abriel. And Arubofu's response of "there are always other ways" is vague. More concisely based on context I believe "I'll manage" is more appropriate. I believe the difference in phrasing is due to the naturally more passive tone in Japanese compared to English Kaindal (talk)
