If it's general, it should probably be replaced with 'goal' or 'ambition'. Aspiration isn't really used that way. Well, I suppose you could say something like 'You lack aspirations for the future.' My friend Haruaki Usui, who's sitting on the seat beside mine, said so in quite a high voice, although it's still class, and slapped me vigorously on the back.
