@Chancs

"Realizing the situation making it even harder to rescue her younger sister": the object being realized is "the situation made it harder to rescue her younger sister." Using "making" would eliminate the predicate for "the situation."

"felt a certain feeling": to feel a feeling is rather awkward, wouldn't you agree?

"traverse through", "preventing any unauthorized entry": it is perfectly valid to traverse locations. Not that the addition of a preposition are wrong, but if the original is grammatically correct, it makes little sense to further clutter the already complicated sentence. In the same vein, "any" is not wrong, but redundant.

Since the author inserts first person thoughts occasionally, if you want to convert them all into third person, please discuss the enforcement of such a deliberate alteration to the author's style in the forum so that it is applied consistently. Alternatively, one may want to italicize first person thoughts as florza has done, but again, an administrative decision should be made to apply it consistently across the board.

"Such was the initial impression one could get from this woman": clearly, an observer already received the impression in question. There is no point in weakening the certainty of the statement.
