Oh, and this marks exactly one year since the series began. Let’s celebrate!
- As a realistic means of becoming number one in the world, I publish a book every month.
- I hope MW Bunko’s “The Circumstances of 660 Yen” sells more. It’s interesting.
- So, as you can see, I’m the kind of person who would confidently declare in a setting like this that the book I wrote is interesting.
- Perhaps because it’s my debut work, the inclusion of illustrations in the middle of the text feels a little jarring.
- I noticed that the globe in my room had “West Germany” on it.
- I studied German at university. But the only thing I remember is “Wie geht es Ihnen?”
- In a way, my head is Wie geht es Ihnen.
- I don’t use the internet because I talk about incomprehensible things and make a lot of gaffes.
- I can’t drink alcohol, I can’t drink carbonated drinks, I hate coffee, I don’t like raw food, and I can’t handle spicy food.
- Yesterday, I reread the entire series of Dai no Daibouken[1]. I like scenes like the one where Baran makes his son sleep.
- The most interesting manga in recent issues of Shounen Jump, in my opinion, is Inumarudashi.
- Morisaki-kun played Captain Tsubasa IV non-stop until he was able to catch Diaz’s Neo Cyclone.
- We have a reliable editor who says, “I played so much Tetris my left arrow key flew off.”
- There’s a father who suddenly said, “What if I become a movie star?”
- Use a computer that instantly converts the phrase “○○ is here” to “○○ is here”[2].
- Is this guy from the Street Fighter II generation?
- Someone who writes afterwords like this.
If most of these apply to you, you’re probably Iruma Hitoma. Your life is pretty unlucky.
If all of these apply to you, you should apply for the Dengeki Novel Prize. You’ll make it to the final selection round. Probably.
And a small question I’ve had recently.
It seems that many of the authors at Dengeki Bunko are close friends.
I’ve been wondering about this for a while, but I wonder why that is.
I probably will never understand the idea of becoming friends with someone in the same industry, or rather, a competitor.
Because I hate to lose.

I’m a working adult living a life that’s almost like a ghost’s: “No exams, no being late.” If only there were no deadlines or meetings, it would be perfect! Yes, being perfectly unemployed. But then I thought, I should get a job.
