FX:*knock on the door*

Yuuri: Uhm... Good evening.

FX: *closes door*

Yuuri: Hey, Günter, are you in here?

Günter:*speaks softly as he writes* At that time, the most sagacious of all, His Majesty King Yuuri joined me. (as Yuuri): "Günter, my beloved servant and my best friend, won't you please lend me your knowledge?"[1]

Yuuri: Günter. Once again you're talking to yourself while writing lies in your journal.

Günter:*softly* At that time , I replied in this fashion: " Ah! Your Majesty! Why do you speak such undeserving words? Eh?! Eh?! For I, Günter, will always try with all my might, to not cast a shadow over the beauty of His Majesty spirit."

Yuuri: Hey, Günter?

Günter: *realizes that Yuuri is in the room* WAH! Your Majesty! My Lord! And now I'll say it like they say it on Earth *evil laughter* L-O-V-E. Lovely Majesty! *Like a cheerleader*

Yuuri: Yeah, that doesn't spell lovely.

Günter: My passion for Your Majesty rises with these thoughts, with this performance.

Yuuri: *to himself* He's not listening.*to Günter* Hey, wait a...

Günter: Deathly Love-Love Flash!

FX: *Sound of Günter's attack: Moe*[2]

FX:*destruction*

Yuuri: Ah, something came out!

FX: *Fshhhhhhh* (lasers)

Günter: EH?! Ah, Your Majesty! Good grace! Before my eyes Your Majesty has appeared. Is this an illusion? No. Could it be that you heard my passion calling out to you?

Yuuri: Uhm... no that Mecha beam (laser) doesn't make things appear magically.

Günter: Ah! Your Majesty. Are you... in a good mood today? *runny nose*

Yuuri: Until I came into this room I was doing fine. Now, I'm not sure. Ah! Günter there's something coming out of your nose. Wipe it off! Wipe it off!

Günter: Eh? *sniffs, then wipes his nose* How rude of me, Your Majesty. You are most especially welcome to this room. Is there anything I can assist you with?

Yuuri: Hm. Yeah, you see... I've been thinking about this for a long time.

Günter: What?! What sort of answer do you wish to obtain?

Yuuri: It's mainly about raising children.

Günter: Eh?

Yuuri: See. You're Gisela's father right? Her stepfather?

Günter: Uhm... well, it was arranged for her to be my adopted daughter.

Yuuri: So, I too am a father, for Greta, right? That's why I wanted to know if you could tell me, the things that you, as a veteran in this aspect, have experienced living with a daughter who has no blood ties to you.

Günter: I see. But that's a bit of a problem. In my case, it was my mother who wanted me to adopt Gisela.

Yuuri: Eh?! Really?

Günter: Yes. Since she was from the eastern region my mother was interested in her. The Christ city was mine but I barely went there or paid attention to it. At some point Gisela was taken there, and since she was my mother's favorite, she joined the von Christ family.

Yuuri: Eh? Really? I'm a little bit shocked.

Günter: At what?

Yuuri: Because you see, to adopt a daughter so cute that everyone wants to marry, isn't that a complicated situation for the father?

Günter: Not at all. In such a case, rather than feeling sad, I'd ask them to get married quickly and try my best to make sure they are together. That girl, well, she's old enough already.

Yuuri: Eh? How old is Gisela?

Günter: Since the age after turning one hundred should not be told, must I lie to His Majesty?

Yuuri: Eh? Ah... sorry. One mustn't ask a lady's age, right?

Günter: Please forgive me, Your Majesty.

Yuuri: No, no it's fine. But it's strange, isn't it? I was sure that Gisela was actually your bride to be.[3]

Günter: Eh?! Why would you think that? Gisela and I are step-daughter and step-father!

Yuuri: Yes, but I thought that was just temporary and you were waiting for the right moment. "After a while they'll probably go and get married" is what I used to think, for one reason or another.

FX: *the sound of pressing many piano keys at the same time*

Günter: What?! That, that... is so cruel! *cries* Does your Majesty, does your Majesty hate me that much?!

Yuuri: Eh? What we were just talking about has nothing to do with me.

FX: *same piano sound*

Günter: How... how cold! Even though I, Lord von Christ Günter, give my whole heart to His Majesty.

Yuuri: Ah, ehmm... well.... since you became my retainer volutarily, I trust your words. But you know, you are a little too supportive of me.

Günter: If a retainer is not a fierce supporter, whose job is it to support you?

Yuuri: Uhm.. eh...

Günter: But of course! If it's for Your Majesty I won't just offer my support[4], I will give you my hands, my heart and even my life!

Yuuri: Yes, but I told you I don't want your heart or your life.

Günter: Then... the juice! The juice that comes out of this body, the Gyun-juice, I'll give it all to you.

Yuuri: Yeah, sorry, I don't want that. For real.

Günter: *cries* The juice will keep coming out, even if you refuse my body. *cries*

Yuuri: It sure is coming out, huh? But tell me, did Gisela a long time ago say things like "When I grow up, I'll become daddy's bride".[5]

Günter *detached*: No, she didn't.

Yuuri: Ah, really? Ah... sorry. Perhaps it's only my little princess who says that? *laughs nervously* Oh, man...

Günter: Greta?

FX: *lullaby*

Yuuri: Yes. She said she wanted to marry me when she grows up.

Günter *detached*: Your Majesty. You look overjoyed.

Yuuri: It's just that I'm so happy. My little girl is so cute, isn't she? "If you don't marry me I might end up a single woman, a "Trap" woman, or an immature girl or a demon soldier", that's what she said!

Günter: Wait a moment! Your Majesty, what did you just say?!

Yuuri: I said, my little girl sure is cute!

Günter: No! I mean after that.

Yuuri: "A single woman, a "Trap" woman, an immature girl, a demon soldier" ?

Günter: Hm. No matter what they're all bad things.

Yuuri: By the way what's a "Trap" woman?

Günter: It's the protagonist of a story that Anissina came up with for people like Greta, who have no magical powers. In order to purge the foolish men from the country, she makes an ingenious "trap". She's a person of justice who carries a special weapon and goes to terrible places. Right now it's a very popular story.

Yuuri: Is that so?

Günter: A child her age, can be easily influenced by such a story, so you must be very careful.

Yuuri: Y..yes... I'll be careful.*clears throat* Ah, well going back to our conversation, I somewhat understand why you don't want to marry Gisela. But you see, your mother in the country, she doesn't know Gisela's true feelings right?

Günter: That's right. Gisela at the very least has absolutely no desire to marry me.

Yuuri: Is that so?

Günter: Yes. For that girl, there was only one person she would have wanted to marry...

Yuuri: Eh?! Gisela has a lover?! What a huge shock! I could never have such a beauty ...

Günter: Susanna Julia.

Yuuri: If at least I could have one or two lovers.... EH?!

Günter: It was Susanna Julia, Your Majesty. Gisela's injured companion was possibly the partner she wanted to chose. If she could have married her, she would have. Of course that means she doesn't have a lover.

Yuuri: EH?! But, but... they're both women, so how could they m..m...m..m..marry each other?!

Günter: That is not a strange occurrence here.

Yuuri: Oh, right. I too, have a male fiancé.

Günter: Yes. And yet, there's no one like Julia, the White. That's why, the ones who survived her, have to deal with the memories somehow.

Yuuri: Günter...

Günter: Gisela, Adalbert, and Conrad, if the living stay in the past, they can't move forward, right?

Yuuri: Hm. Hm! That's right. *sigh* I was a little moved by your words. As they say, the older you are the wiser you get. Günter, you really are like a wise teacher.

Günter: For your praises, I'm extremely and humbly delighted.

Yuuri: Günter when stuff is not coming out of your nose, you really are beautiful and cool! It's like you're perfect.

Günter: Eh?! Is that so?! *runny nose*

Yuuri: Ah, just as I said that, you got a runny nose. Ah~! That's right!

Günter: Eh? What is it?

Yuuri: Ah... where is it? This! It's from Anissina, for when your nose starts running. Here you are, Günter.

Günter: What is this? These small bottles with red and blue pills.

FX: *Anissina's Poison Lady bmg*

Günter: It can't be. This is one of Anissina's "Dark History" inventions, the infamous "to use for killing years".

Yuuri: Eh? What's that?

Günter: If you take the red pill you'll become 15 years younger. If you take the blue pill, you'll become 15 years older. It's a terribly dangerous medicine. Even though the effects are not that bad for the mazoku, because that minor change in age wouldn't be a problem, if one day the Shimaron soldiers were to get their hands on it and take it...!

Yuuri: No, that's probably a different medicine. Anissina said it is a ground-breaking new invention. It stops runny noses, and it was made exclusively for you.

Günter: For my use exclusively? Those words are slightly stealing my heart.

Yuuri: *reading instructions*Let's see... what does it say...

"If you take the blue one, the liquid will be absorbed slowly. If you take the red one the liquid will be absorbed three times faster but it is not recommended for beginners."

Günter: Shall I try the blue one then?

FX: *opens bottle*

Yuuri: Wait, there's still something more. "PS. Lord von Christ without a doubt, should take the red one". Günter, it seems like it has to be the red one that works three times faster.

Günter: Eh....I don't think so. I oppose to taking the one that works three times faster.

Yuuri: Oh, c'mon, c'mon, c'mon. Don't say that, take it.

Günter: No, no, no, no.

Yuuri: I think that when you don't have a runny nose you're pretty neat, you know?

Günter: Why are you trying so hard to make me take this?

Yuuri: If you don't take it I can't make a report for Anissina.

Günter: Eh?! Why did you make such a promise to Anissina!

Yuuri: It's just that Greta said" Pretty please!" to me.

Günter: No, no, I don't want it. Stop it!

Yuuri: It's just like anything else.

Günter: I said no, no, no, no!!!

FX: *Günter takes one of the pills*

References[edit]

  1. Günter has a journal where he writes about him and Yuuri's every day events, as if it was a story of a devoted servant and his master. He always makes Yuuri sound like a great wise king.
  2. Moe=Cute. When Günter was trapped in the Okiku doll, he used to be able to shoot laser beams whenever he was a little too excited. As far as I know this doesn't happen when he's in his human form, but this might have been a special occasion. XD
  3. A little bit of information about adoptions in Japan. Pretty much anyone can adopt anyone regardless of age. The vast majority of adoptions in Japan are composed of what is called "adult adoptions". Originally, the purpose of such adoptions was the following: If a house didn't have a male descendant, the head of the family could adopt a son-in-law and legally make him part of the family, so that the last-name would not be lost. The name of a family has always been super important in Japan (basically because of the whole clan/feudal society they had for millennia). Now a days, it is mostly used by homosexual people to "adopt" their partners so that they can be part of the same family (and get all the benefits a family member would have). This is why "adopting an adult" sounds like marriage to Yuuri.
  4. The word for "support" in Japanese includes the word "shoulder", that's why Günter says, he won't just offer his support (shoulders), but also his hands, heart and life.
  5. Apparently lots of little girls want to marry their daddies.
