Perhaps you should be careful whom you refer to as a warmonger, that could spark quite a bit of animosity and debate here, something that has nothing to do with with great work you're doing.

It's rather controversial, I admit. But those who read history tend to be. Churchill was a great man, no one can refute that. But his greatness sourced from his aggression in war, not his desire for peace. I don't remember him apologizing for the millions of India his policies starved to death during WW2 in order to keep Britain fed [http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/legacy/thereporters/soutikbiswas/2010/10/how_churchill_starved_india.html], or his unrelenting attitude to prevent the decline of British colonialism using whatever harsh measures he could bring, which was exactly that of an 'imperialistic warmongerer' (i.e: ''"The truth is... that Gandhi-ism and everything it stands for will have to be grappled with and crushed.''). Other decisions he made that borderlines on 'war crimes' include the firebombing of Dresden and the military suppression of Malaysia, etc. Just because his main opponent at the time was a far worse man does not imply that he is without fault. Personally, I believe that conventional modern history paints too glorified if not romanticized of an image for him, while dumping all the muck over Chamberlain (which is a shame; for all the man's lacking, he is among the few politicians who truly cared for his people). Lastly, the Russians have a very poor opinion of Churchill, and Kaede did spend quite the time growing up in Russia (I bet you Japanese history books are not any nicer to the man, but that's a different can of worms). Though either way, thanks for the advice and thanks for reading -- [[User:Aorii|Aorii]] ([[User talk:Aorii|talk]]) 17:18, 7 May 2014 (CDT)
