You mean Miya, I guess? The wording is a little vague, but the subject of the discussion is changes to the physical structure of the brain, which is different from Miya's magic as I understand it. My understanding is her magic changes the structure of the mind (soul, maybe?), not the brain. As I said though it's pretty vague.

The discussion was whether the changes to the physical structure had affected Fomalhaut's thinking which led to a remark that made Lina recall a legendary deceased magician. I looked at the original text and recognized the phrasing from translating "Untouchable", Lina was definitely recalling a description of Miya's magic. Sashiko (talk) 23:08, 23 July 2013 (CDT)
