Hi, could you move your extra talk page to a place under your user namespace. For example, User:Trev_lite/"something" --[[User:KuroiHikari|KuroiHikari]] ([[User_talk:KuroiHikari|Talk]] | ) 20:15, 23 August 2014 (CDT)

Mushoku Tensei

Thanks for your work! I did think it was slightly annoying when I saw the names changing from one group of chapters to the next... but could you please mark the changes as Minor Edits? It makes it easier for me (and others I assume) to browse the Recent Changes to see if anything has been updated. Thanks again! --Crimson Lord 11:39, 1 August 2014 (CDT)

Ok I will do that from now on. I thought that changing the name of a major character was not a minor change. --Trev lite (talk) 01:06, 3 August 2014 (CDT)

Dear Trev Lite,

Thank you for your contribution, for enquires about what is protocol regarding the names and terminology. What you see on the name and terminology project specific guidelines, is the currently accepted forms that when and if there is a conflict of such issue, the ones on that page shall prevail until such point that the project teams agrees in mutual consensus that a change to any on the list should be different.

Once again, thank you for your contribution.

Best Regards,

Thank you for updating the names.--Tasear (talk) 22:45, 3 August 2014 (CDT)

Your Welcome. If there are more names to update please ask me here or on the terminology talk page. --Trev lite (talk) 14:05, 4 August 2014 (CDT)

Shishou

First of all, I don't see why there's a need to remove the 'u' like Kaito sometimes does.

Second of all, I've already discussed this issue with Kaito in the past (roughly 2-3 weeks ago).

Though I previously translated it as 'master' as it carries more or less the same connotations in English that shishou does in Japanese, Kaito brought to my attention the fact that Julie uses the terms 'grandmaster' and 'master', so the two of us agreed that to make a distinction, 'Shishou' would be used.

At any rate, as a term that could be used in martial arts, it's not really too different from the specialised term 'sensei', and I don't think the readers will have a problem. Cheers.

I am actually all for adding the u to shisho(u) For now i will stop my convertion of Shishou into master. If asked i will revert Master back to Shishou. --Trev lite (talk) 14:34, 6 August 2014 (CDT)

""s and []s

SilentWolfie did this for his own tastes, but the raw Japanese use the completely normal 「」 quotations marks that you'd find anywhere else.

It's simply normal "".

One thing that should be noted (and is absent from Kaito's chapters due to his romaaji machine) is that chapters where they speak different languages make a distinction with the speech marks.

When speaking in the language that isn't the main one for the scene, he'll use 『』 instead. I've used these as well, but you might prefer to use [] in its place.

Anyway, as I mentioned just now, this factor is absent from Kaito's translations due to his machine, and someone will have to go add this distinction back in. Some notable examples where they use different speech marks are during the Japanese and Human language scene with Nanahoshi, Rudy and Sylphy (their first meeting).

Volume 12's conversations with the Battle God Language and Elinalise's Human Race Language also make such a distinction (two such conversations are the one they have after saving the merchant, and the one where she scolds a warrior).

I will no be doing any changes to ""s and []s for a while. I am not sure i will have it in me to do the monstrous task of changing all of the chapters to the new standard for quotations. --Trev lite (talk) 14:40, 6 August 2014 (CDT)

* Grayrat to Greyrat

The standard for this project is American English (which I personally hate, btw), so could you explain the reasoning behind this? Vanant (talk) 06:06, 6 August 2014 (CDT)

I am just making sure the name is consistent. The name Grayrat is only used in a few chapters. Since the name of Greyrat is used in most chapters and is on the Terminology page, i will be converting to Greyrat. --Trev lite (talk) 14:43, 6 August 2014 (CDT)
