Hi Ravenclaw9. I'm not currently translating the novel, since another translator is registered for Volume 6. For what it's worth, I'm actively translating the manga. -- KLSymph (talk) 06:20, 13 December 2016 (CET)

Hello KLSymph. First of all I would like to thank you for the translation of Rakudai. Apart from that I would like to ask for permission in order to make some minor edits in this project (fix noinclude-references tags/ layout consistency). As for the size of the headlines do you prefer =1= (mostly used here) or ==2== (used in almost all other projects)? Thanks in advance.

Hi rxls. I'm not clear on which edits you specifically mean to make, so please give more detailed examples. I am aware that Rakudai's project is not formatted the same as other projects on Baka-Tsuki, and this is intentional, justified by the Baka-Tsuki policy of each project having its own formatting standards. If you see instances which are not consistent within the Rakudai project, feel free to make corrections, but if the instances are consistent within Rakudai but not consistent with the rest of Baka-Tsuki, they were probably decided intentionally and should not be changed merely to create external consistency (but I'm always open to discussion about them). --KLSymph (talk) 20:51, 12 August 2017 (CEST)

Hello KLSymph and thanks for your reply. I never change the general layout of a project. The consistency refers to each specific project. For example to Chrome Shelled Regios 23 Volumes out of 25 had the same layout. I only changed the format of v19/v20 in order to follow the rest of volumes. Now regarding Rakudai, I'm refering to edits like v04: = Chapter One: Training Camp = -> = Chapter 1: Training Camp = for consistency.

Apart from that is there a specific reason that you aren't using "noinclude" before "references/"? This results in the Full Volume "References" to intervene between text (check ToC). On the contrary if you use "noinclude" before, then all the references will be presented at the end of each volume, whereas the presentation of each individual chapter will remain unaffected. Compare the three different layouts of FULL Volumes.

01_Rakudai where the references intervene between text.

02.Denpa Onna where all the references are at the end of the volume.

03 Absolute Duo where all the references are at the end of the volume but separated in groups.

The smaller internal-consistency fixes are fine. The noinclude of references is indeed intentional. I prefer references to be attached to specific chapters in the full volume text rather than placed at the end, as they are written to be chapter references and not volume references (even as viewed in the full text). It's a complex balancing of priorities against expected usage patterns, but in a first-time full read-through which is perhaps the most important for a new reader, a listing of references at the end of the text leads to a reader seeing all the definitions long after the referred passages are past, as compared to at the end of a chapter. This is not ideal as a layout, in terms of absorbing the meanings when doing so is most relevant. For further discussion, please head to the Rakudai forum. --KLSymph (talk) 23:37, 12 August 2017 (CEST)

Hey there! I want to echo the other guy. Thanks a lot for all your work on this series. After the short-lived anime adaptation I was thirsty for more of Stella and Ikki, so I was delighted to see that this translation existed. I gather that you are not active on this particular project anymore, but regardless, thanks a lot for providing these translations! I hope you are doing great. :) SpectrumDT (talk) 20:58, 9 April 2018 (CEST)

Thank you for the well wishes. I am in fact still active on the project, both the novel and the manga adaptation. --KLSymph (talk) 04:03, 12 April 2018 (CEST)

Why died you remove all the translation effort from that page? Edward Elric (talk) 02:07, 18 March 2019 (CET)

As noted in the comment of the removal, Taekan has a donation policy which is deemed commercial activity. Under the rules for External Contributors, no site conducting commercial activity may be affiliated with Baka-Tsuki, and so Taekan's external links have been removed. -- KLSymph (talk) 04:50, 18 March 2019 (CET)

Your "Explanations" make NO sense at all. People have the right to read, but your removals make Baka-Tsuki look like a peace of joke - an empty space! And by doing so, you take away people's interest in this place, which (without a doubt) will result people abandonning Baka-Tsuki and make them waste time looking for another place to read. You can't take away everyone's hopes and joy to read, and leave it empty, the way it is now, just like that! So quit doing it and let the translations be present in Baka-Tsuki. Consult with the admins/Council about it or something. At least give us a MORE SPECIFIC Explanation about this so it would be more easy to understand. Sindbad DKDK (talk) 22:31, 18 March 2019 (CET)

Taekan's external site has a donation policy which is deemed commercial activity by unanimous decision of the voting members of the Baka-Tsuki Executive Council. According to Baka-Tsuki External Contributors Rules, external fan translation groups engaging in commercial activity cannot be affiliated with Baka-Tsuki (hosted/linked). Therefore Taekan's external links have been removed. To my knowledge, there exists no right for people to read translations that supersedes this element of the Baka-Tsuki rules, or in general; please provide a citation. If I am not being specific enough, let me know. -- KLSymph (talk) 23:25, 18 March 2019 (CET)

Hello. Do you by any chance know a place where I can get Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry Raws for volumes 10-16? Thank you if you respond.

I do not have access to those at this time. --KLSymph (talk) 18:47, 20 July 2019 (CEST)
