1[edit]
(S: Shimako is referring to the events of when Shimako and Yumi were first years. Shimako had originally been asked by former Rosa Chinensis Youko to help out at the Rose Mansion, and eventually became former Rosa Gigantea, Sei's, soeur. Later, Yumi came out to help during the school play Cinderella incident, and eventually became Sachiko's soeur.)
2[edit]
(S: I'm not really sure what this means. E: It means to make a mountain out of a molehill. A yukata is a light summer kimono. To make it out of regular, i.e. heavier, cloth, you're making too much out of something little.)
3[edit]
(S: Throughout the novel, the word 'imouto' has been given the Katakana 'soeur', so I have been translating it as 'soeur'.However 'imouto' simply means 'little sister', so here where Rei is talking about Katsumi-sama's imouto, she uses the adjective 'real')
Taisho's Fight[edit]
(S: A Taisho's Fight is a match between leaders in a kendo meet.)
two shot picture[edit]
(S: A two shot is a picture with two people in it.)
6[edit]
(S: The original Japanese expression was 'Water upon Sleeping Ears')
7[edit]
(S: The words Noriko uses to describe Sachiko here are said in a very derogatory tone, in respect to normal Lillian speech. I've never seen other Lillian students talk like this.)
