Yuusha de Aru Series
Washio Sumi wa Yuusha de Aru (鷲尾須美は勇者である, Washio Sumi is a Hero) is a Japanese light novel written by Takahiro(タカヒロ) and illustrated by BUNBUN. It is a prequel to anime Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha de Aru, which take place two years after this novel. The novel serialize a chapter per month on Dengeki G's Magazine before releasing as a book.
It is recommended to read these novel after watching anime series Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha de Aru, or emulate their original semi-interlancing publication order.
Story Synopsis
In the year 298 from the era of the gods, elementary school girls Washio Sumi, Nogi Sonoko, and Minowa Gin are tasked with an important mission. They are to become heroes and fight Vertex, a mysterious enemy that is attacking Shinju-sama, the god tree that protects Shikoku, the only area in the world that is still habitable. (Source)
