- Project announcement!
Summary
Clannad is a visual novel adventure developed by Key/VisualArts, released in 2004. More information is available at the Wikipedia entry located here.
This is a resurrection of the translation project effort that started in 2005. Originally run by Soulfang, this new resurrection is an open collaboration started by velocity7. As this is an experimental project, people should take heed to how this is being handled. Please see below for more details.
Please note, that Baka-Tsuki host only the Translated text, no images or game files are hosted here.
A webpage involving development details, screenshots, and download content is in the works, the link will be posted here when ready.
Staff
This project is brought to you by the following groups:
- Baka-Tsuki
- TheWaffleHouse
- Sprocket-Hole Productions
Special thanks goes to Haeleth for the development of the RealLive tool (RLdev), which has made patch processing possible.
Please note that we are looking for experienced programmers who are willing to look at the tool source code to allow for automatic line breaking as well as variable width fonts. If you feel up to the challenge, please post in the discussion page.
Guidelines
Generally speaking, the guidelines associated with the Suzumiya Haruhi novel translation project can be followed, but there are several amendments that have been made in order to accomodate the unorthodox nature of this project. Please see the guidelines for details.

This is the Project Translators Team.
- ACTIVE
- PLANNED
We would also like to thank the following people for their contributions from the VisualNews forum in the translation of some of the initial content. Their names are:
- Omgwtflolzz

Editors
This is the Project Editorial Team. They will regularly patrol the project to prevent vandalism & make sure the guidelines are implemented. If you have any inquiries about the current edited version of a script, such as translation nuances or improvements to the editing, please make comments in the discussion page for a script file.
Translator's Notes
During the game some interesting items will come up during each day. These comments will be part of this playthrough chart. Please see here.

Disclaimer: If any spreadsheets are downloaded anywhere else other than http://naomi.thewafflehouse.net, please check the spreadsheet for viruses or macros from malicious posters.
You may browse this folder for the spreadsheets. All raw content should be available in both OpenOffice spreadsheet (*.ods) and Excel (*.xls). Translated content tends to end up going one way or the other.
You may use either Microsoft Office(retail) to open up the Excel spreadsheets or OpenOffice(free) to open up both the OpenOffice and Excel spreadsheets.
This chart is adapted from dgreater1's chart of the SEEN files. This is the following legend for the chart below:
- if no page exists for the SEEN file, it means the scene is currently not assigned to anyone
- if the link exists, it means the scene has been assigned and is under translation
- if the link exists bold, it means the scene is translated and is being edited or has finished editing
If you wish to make any comments on the quality of the editing or translation of a SEEN file, please visit the link in question and make your comments on its respective Talk/Discussion page.
Also, please see the guidelines for details on how translators should be assigned. A key thing to note is that more than one translator can work on a single script.
If you wish, you may access the template for the script chart here.
