Why are we emphasizing on using Bolds now? --Chancs 00:35, 20 June 2012 (CDT)

dont really know some ppl started added random bold's even though it's not in the original text. --RikiNutcase

I added the bolds, it's something due in the other chapters as well. It's for words that have the comma furigana. The author uses them to emphasis those words, I'm just fixing this lack of emphasis. --KuroiHikari (Talk | ) 00:51, 20 June 2012 (CDT)

Jio's Smile[edit]

Can someone give the original j-text for the 'extremely dreadful smile'. If I have that I might be able to suggest a better alternative. Zero2001 - Talk - 04:40, 20 June 2012 (CDT)

It's this 凄絶. I guess it could be fierce. It means, 非常にすさまじいこと, something very susamajii --KuroiHikari (Talk | ) 04:58, 20 June 2012 (CDT)

Ferocious is a better choice. It fits Jio's character as well. Zero2001 - Talk - 05:05, 20 June 2012 (CDT)

So should I replace with ferocious or not? Zero2001 - Talk - 01:24, 21 June 2012 (CDT)

Sword[edit]

Just a question, why is the sacred sword that killed the Demon King called "vorpal sword", doesn't vorpal sword refer to Restia? Zakashi 05:25, 20 June 2012 (CDT)

Yes, that's correct. I must have been daydreaming on that. --KuroiHikari (Talk | ) 05:29, 20 June 2012 (CDT)

Lightning Strike[edit]

Hi, in part 4, "It was one long lightning attack that had several times the one from just now.", does the "several times" referring to the lightning being longer or multiple lightning attacks? Zakashi 23:47, 20 June 2012 (CDT)

I think multiple lightning attacks, mainly because of the following line.

The original line is this 先程の数倍はあろうかという一条の雷撃。 I believe I translated its ambiguity over as well. --KuroiHikari (Talk | ) 23:59, 20 June 2012 (CDT)

Well, I'm completely Japanese illiterate, so I can only base my edits on my understanding on English. Since it has something to do with the original Japanese text, I guess that translators and other editors can look into it. Zakashi 00:05, 21 June 2012 (CDT)

The first lightning attack had countless black lightning attacks/strikes. The second was a single lightning strike with many times the power of the previous attack (possibly because there was only one lightning strike so the power was also concentrated). This is what I understood. Zero2001 - Talk - 01:20, 21 June 2012 (CDT)

Sentence's meaning[edit]

Hi, in part 2, "However, it was greatly imperfect for him to call himself the Demon King— an elementalist.", "imperfect" has been replaced by "incomplete" in an edit. The sentence sounds a bit awkward here. May I know if the sentence here means that Kamito's strength is still not yet on par with the Demon King's? If it is so, would it be better to rephrase it? Thanks. Zakashi (talk) 08:16, 28 March 2013 (CDT)

Actually, that line is referring to Jio. "It's just 'wrong' to call him an elementalist." is how I'll simplify it. I've to admit 'imperfect' is not that of a good choice of wrong. Could you suggest a word along the lines of faulty? --KuroiHikari (Talk | ) 08:37, 28 March 2013 (CDT)

Oops, I didn't read the whole context since I read it in the edit differences, sorry about that. Just to clarify, would the word here in a sense express that there are flaws to Jio's claim to be the Demon King given the limitations of his ability? Thanks. Zakashi (talk) 02:22, 30 March 2013 (CDT)

Yes, that would be correct.--KuroiHikari (Talk | ) 02:42, 30 March 2013 (CDT)

I was thinking along the lines of using "inadequate, inappropriate or inaccurate". Simplifying it to "it's just 'wrong'" seems great too. I'll leave it to you to decide the best way to phrase it. :p. Zakashi (talk) 06:22, 31 March 2013 (CDT)

In part 2 "Besides, no matter how powerful Est's elemental waffe was, it was strange that a sword spirit, famous for being the toughest in its endurance, was broken that easily." From this sentence, it looks like it was Est who was broken, but that's not the case and I don't actually remember any famous swords breaking in this or previous chapter. Could someone specify exactly what blade the author is talking about.asiorx22(talk) 18 august 2013

It's generalizing sword spirits. Maybe famous is not the best word choice. Basically, sword spirits are well-known for being tough and shouldn't break easily. --KuroiHikari (Talk | ) 06:21, 24 August 2013 (CDT)
