I was the one who capitalized the "s" in Shidou earlier and I was wondering why it is capitalized in some sentences Tohka says and not in others. For example: Shidou asked, and Tohka vigorously shook her head. "No, Shidou is uhm... definitely someone whose relatives were taken hostage and threatened."

Please explain it to me so that I won't make this mistake in the future.

From DAL guildlines: Itsuka Shidou - (五河 士道)

Tohka calls him シドー (Shidou in katakana) so to parallel that when Tohka calls Shidou the name will not be capitalized.

Simply it's just the Translator's way of preserving the author's presentation of Shidou's name when spoken by Tohka. The translator's for each volume have currently approached this differently, you'll notice volume 1 uses shidou, vol2 uses Shido, and I don't think vol3 even bothers and just uses Shidou.--Drowzycow (talk) 17:24, 14 November 2012 (CST)

Thank you for explaining it. As I stated the name is only lowercase in that chapter. Also I can't translate so I wouldn't be able to tell.
