Volumen 04 Capítulo 34 - Puerto Brisa

1ª Parte

Puerto Brisa, la única ciudad portuaria en todo el continente demoniaco. Está repleta de colinas y cuestas y desde la entrada de la ciudad es posible verla en su totalidad.

La mayoría de las cosas están construidas de los materiales propios del continente demoniaco, como son las piedras y la tierra rojiza del mismo, pero algunos edificios están hechos con madera en su interior, posiblemente importada del continente Milis.

A la entrada de la ciudad no hay tantos puestos de mercaderes como en otras ciudades, pero quizás porque en el extremo de la ciudad se encuentra el astillero y el puerto, pero es donde se concentran los vendedores que vienen a esta ciudad, creando un ambiente animado por el lugar; por lo que es una ciudad que presenta una estampa algo distinta de la habitual.

Y pasado el puerto...

Desde el puerto hasta el horizonte, se extiende un mar enorme.

¿Cuándo fue la última vez que vi el mar? Imagino que en Secundaria, cuando fui de viaje a la costa con el colegio.

Por lo que puedo ver, el mar es igual en todos los mundos; un brillante azul, el sonido de las olas, el equivalente a gabiotas, y los botes de vela levantando ancla.

Es la primera vez que he visto un barco de vela con mis propios ojos, porque por mucho que los hubiera visto en películas, no tiene nada que ver con lo que se siente al verlo frente a ti. Me emociono como un niño pequeño... Pero viendo las velas en los barcos, imagino que en este mundo habrán descubierto ya las técnicas marítimas para ir contra corriente... Bueno, teniendo en cuenta de que hablamos de este mundo, seguramente se crearán su propio viento de cola con magia o algún método similar.

2ª Parte

En cuanto por fin llegamos a la ciudad, Eris se bajó de un salto de nuestro lagarto montura y salió corriendo.

"¡Ludeus! ¡Es el mar!"

Las palabras que pronuncia Eris, salen en un fluido idioma del Dios Demonio; desde que se decidió a aprenderlo, no ha habido día que no lo haya practicado hasta llegar a este punto. Para animarla y ayudarla, tanto Ruijerd como yo estuvimos hablando en ese idioma tanto como nos fue posible.

El plan fue un éxito y, en estos últimos días, la habilidad de Eris con el idioma ha aumentado enormemente.

Como suponía, la forma más rápida de aprender un idioma es vivir en un lugar en el que lo hablen todos. Aunque no es que pueda leerlo ni escribir en el idioma del Dios Demonio...

Por otro lado, desde que llegamos al continente demoniaco, no le he dado clases de magia ni un solo día; estoy seguro de que se ha olvidado de todos los conjuros que le enseñé... imagina la conjuración en silencio....

"¡Espera Eris! ¡¿Dónde vas?! ¡Pero si ni siquiera hemos decidido en qué posada nos alojaremos!"

Tras oír mi comentario, las piernas de Eris se detienen de forma abrupta.

Y por cierto, esta es la tercera vez que hemos tenido esta conversación... En la primera ocasión se perdió, y en la segunda nos acabamos metiendo en una pelea en medio de un callejón. No permitiré que haya una tercera vez.

"¡Tienes razón! Porque si no decidimos en qué posada nos alojamos antes, nos acabaremos perdiendo, ¿no es así?!"

Solo con echarle un vistazo al mar, se volvió a animar y regresar alegremente con nosotros. Ahora que lo pienso, esta debe de ser la primera vez que lo vea, aunque había un río cerca de Roa al que iba de vez en cuando a jugar junto con Sauros en sus días de descanso.

Desgraciadamente, sin mí.

"Luego podemos ir a nadar, ¿no, Ludeus?."

"¿Eh? ¿Se puede nadar en el puerto?"

"¡Me gustaría ir a nadar!"

Me encantaría ver el encantador cuerpo de 13 años de Eris en el agua también, pero...

"Pero no tenemos trajes de baño, ¿no es así?"

"¿Traje de baño? ¿Qué es eso? ¡Pero si no lo necesitamos!"

Escuchando una frase tan sorprendemente, no puedo ocultar mi cara de asombro y confusión.

Pero qué raro, ¿porque nunca participé en los viajes al río en Fedora? ¿Qué hacía exactamente para perderme semejante evento?... Supongo que estaba ocupado, porque en esos días estaba intentando llevar una vida plena y esforzándome al máximo cada día. Pero al menos una vez, desearía que me hubieran invitado al menos una vez... Aunque mejor, no darle vueltas al pasado, es mejor vivir el presente, centrándome en lo que hay frente a mis ojos. ¡Sí, pienso disfrutar el presente! ¡Perfecto! ¡Dirijámonos al mar!

"No, seguramente sea mejor que no intentéis bañaros en el mar."

Y en este momento, Ruijerd se inmiscuye en nuestra conversación y me agua la fiesta.

"¡¿Eh?! ¡¿Por qué?!"

"Porque está plagado de monstruos."

Me imaginaba que ese fuera el caso.

Pero seguro que no pasará nada si Ruijerd y yo nos dedicamos a aniquilar los monstruos en la zona... O eso quiero pensar, pero es posible que nuestro radar de seres vivos (Ruijerd) no funcione correctamente con los monstruos que haya dentro del agua.... Pero no... seguro que podemos ser capaces de tener tranquilidad durante una hora o así, ¿no crees? Porque aunque nadar en el puerto sea peligroso, puedo crear con magia una piscina marina cerca de la costa usando magia de Tierra.

Pero si tenemos la mala suerte de que algo ocurra, o de que un monstruo marino posea alguna habilidad especial que le permita saltar a la piscina que cree... Si fuera un pulpo podría ser el detonante de una escena erótica, pero si fuera un tiburón viviríamos otro tipo de escena más gore............... Nah, no hay nada que hacer, es mejor si nos olvidamos de la idea de jugar en la playa un rato. Pero en serio, qué lástima.

"En ese caso, tendremos que olvidarnos de nadar en esta ciudad. En ese caso, elijamos posada y después vayamos al gremio de aventureros."

"Vale..."

Eris se deprime un poco.

Hmmm, pero soy incapaz de evitar querer ver el cuerpo de Eris algo más detenidamente, porque no he tenido ocasión, en todo este año, de confirmar exactamente como se ha ido desarrollando. Con toda la ropa puesta es complicado, pero creo que podríamos aprovechar para relajarnos un poco aunque sea en la orilla, y ya aprovecho...

"Ummm... ¿no te apetece ni coger algo de agua para remojarte un poco?"

"Ludeus, estás volvindo a poner esas caras extrañas tuyas."

"¿Uh?"

"¡Aunque suena interesante! ¡Así que hagámoslo después!"

Eris dice esto alegremente y da un salto desde el suelo, montándose de nuevo sobre nuestro lagarto.

Su técnica de salto es bastante precisa y maravillosa, ha hecho todo el impulso usando únicamente sus tobillos y rodillas, sin ningún tipo de carrerilla, como si fuera un resorte. Y es que Eris ha estado entrenado su cuerpo, incluyendo sus piernas, durante todo este tiempo.

Por el momento está bien como está, pero me pregunto si acabará viéndose como Ghyslaine en el futuro, con esos músculos que parecen cuerdas de acero... me asusta un poco.

Part 3

Nuestro primer paso fue elegir posada y dejar a nuestro lagarto montura en el establo; tras lo que nos dirigimos al gremio de aventureros, porque tenemos intención de ir a verlo antes de dormir.

Cuando llegamos al gremio de aventureros de Puerto Brisa, como siempre, había un enorme variedad de aventureros reunidos en el lugar haciendo ruido; nada fuera de lo normal, salvo porque empezaba a haber bastantes humanos en el grupo formado.

Seguramente cuando crucemos al continente Milis, el número de humanos irá todavía más en aumento.

Decido empezar con nuestra rutina de siempre y me acerco al tablón de anuncios, cuando Ruijerd me pregunta.

"¿No vamos a cruzar rápidamente el mar?"

"Solo voy a echar un vistazo, ya que ganar dinero en el continente Milis será más fácil en general."

Esto se debe a que la divisa del continente Milis es distinta a la del continente demoniaco. Las monedas que utilizan en ese continente son: cheques del Papado, cheques del Ejército, monedas de oro, monedas de plata, monedas grandes de cobre y monedas de cobre.

Si enlazamos las divisas de ambos continentes equiparando una moneda de piedra con 1 yen, quedaría de la siguiente forma:

O algo por el estilo.

Para que os hagáis mejor una idea, la recompensa común por las misiones de rango B, son unas 15-20 monedas oxidadas, si lo pasamos a monedas de piedra serían unas 150-200. Si asumimos que las misiones de rango B darían la misma cantidad de monedas de su segunda moneda más débil, en ese caso serían 15-20 gran Milis de cobre, lo que supondrían 1500-2000 monedas de piedra.

En definitiva, 10 veces el valor de las misiones en este continente, por lo que nos interesa ganar dinero en Milis mejor que aquí.

Aunque hay que tener en cuenta que el barco podría tomar tiempo hasta que zarpara, por lo que acabaríamos teniendo que hacer misiones en este continente, principalmente de rango B. Esto se debe a que las misiones de rango A o S no es que sean peligrosas, que también, sino que además se suele tardar una semana o unos días en realizarlas.

Si lo que buscamos en ganar dinero de varias fuentes en poco tiempo, nos salen más rentables las misiones de rango B, y por ese motivo no tenemos intención de ascender nuestro grupo al rango S, porque con ser rango A es suficiente.

Siendo rango A, ya podemos aceptar misiones de rango S, lo que me llevó a preguntarme el motivo por el que nadie ascendería voluntariamente al rango S.

Cuando le pregunté a los miembros del gremio, me comentarón que se le ofrecen privilegios especiales a aquellos aventureros que alcanzan el mayor rango. No lo sabré a ciencia cierta hasta que lo analice, pero por lo que me dijeron, el coste de las posadas baja, y el gremio te da preferencia para aceptar misiones y cosas por el estilo. Además que también se desentienden de faltas o problemas que puedas tener a la hora de realizar una misión, ese tipo de cosas.

Vamos que un pequeño descuento y hacerte la vista gorda en según qué situaciones... Pero como preferimos centrarnos en misiones de rango B y además tener acceso a las misiones superiores, es más eficiente seguir como estamos a subir de rango. Aunque tengo entendido que algunos privilegios son bastante útiles a la hora de explorar Laberintos, pero como no hemos probado a hacer ninguno, no lo sé muy bien...

No hemos intentado explorar ningún Laberinto, porque son peligrosos y toman demasiado tiempo, y nos hemos centrado en las misiones de rango B para ganar fondos. Pero en definitiva, no tenemos intención de subir al rango S por el momento, por mucho que Eris quiera.

Aunque me he desviado enormemente del asunto principal, nos enlistamos en el gremio para ganar dinero, por esto, es preferible pillar rápidamente un barco a Milis y ganar dinero allí.

"Ahora que lo pienso, ¿de dónde zarpa el barco?"

"Del puerto."

"Me refiero a qué parte del puerto."

"Preguntemos."

Me acerco a la recepción del gremio, y veo a una mujer, que seguramente sea humana, atendiendo a los aventureros.

¿Por qué casi siempre son mujeres las recepcionistas en el gremio de aventureros? ¿Y por qué el porcentaje de tetonas es tan alto en ellas?

"Nos gustaría zarpar al continente Milis, ¿podrías decirnos cómo llegar o qué barco tomar?"

"Esas preguntas mejor hacerlas en la aduana."

"¿Aduana?"

"Sí, ya que estarías atravesando fronteras al viajar en barco."

Parece que es algún tipo de trámite que no entra dentro de la jurisdicción del gremio de aventureros, y siendo ese el caso, los miembros del gremio no tienen la obligación de explicarnos nada al respecto.

Hmm, en ese caso, necesitamos dirigirnos a la aduana que mencionaron, imagino que allí podremos obtener una explicación más detallada.

"¡Eh, tú!"

Justo cuando pensaba en eso, resuena un potente grito dentro del gremio. Al girarme, me encuentro que Eris le está dando un puñetazo a un humano.

Veo que nuestra bomba nuclear sigue tan animada como siempre...

"¡¿Dónde y a quién crees que estás tocando?!"

"P-pero... ¡si fue un accidente! ¡¿Quién querría tocar voluntariamente a una mocosa?!"

"¡No me importa si fue un accidente! ¡Ni siquiera veo que estés siendo sincero!"

El nivel de fluidez de Eris con el idioma es bastante sorprendente, pero claro, conforme mejoró su habilidad con el idioma, aumentaron el número de peleas.

"¡Jyajajaja! ¡Mira mira, pero si es una pelea!"

"¡Venga, adelante!"

"Eh, eh, ¡cuidado con la niña a ver si te va a partir la cara!"

Y por cierto, las peleas entre aventureros son por lo general, algo bastante común, por lo que los miembros del gremio no suelen interferir, sino que encima son los que organizan las apuestas en estas peleas.

"¡Te voy a destrozar!"

"¡¡L-Lo siento!! ¡¡He perdido, déjame ir, te lo pido de verdad, suéltame!!"

Antes de terminar ni lo que estaba pensando, Eris había tumbado al tío en el suelo, le había dado la vuelta y le estaba retorciendo las piernas.

Si de por sí Eris siempre fue una bestia, últimamente se ha convertido en imparable. Antes de que se lance a por ellos, ya se empiezan a acobardar, y los hundiendo de una forma controlada y meticulosa hasta hacerles desesperar. ¿Qué habrá pasado esta vez para hacerla ponerse así? Pero antes de que te des cuenta, los tiene en el suelo y les empieza a pisar la entrepierna sin descanso, sin que nadie pueda detenerla. Pasado un tiempo, y tras cierto daño es aplicado al contrincante, Ruijerd se interpone y les separa.

"Detente."

"¡¿Por qué?! ¡¿por qué me paras?!"

"El combate ya está claro, déjale ir con lo que se ha llevado."

Igual que en esta ocasión, que Ruijerd la separa cogiéndola como un gato, por el cuello de su camisa; mientras el hombre al que estaba pegando sale corriendo sujetándose la destrozada parte de su cuerpo.

"Damn it, you're insane!"

Even though we've been quite active for this past year, I'm a bit shocked by the fact that only my name hasn't been remembered.

Well, I guess it doesn't matter.

It was selling my name with a bad meaning anyways, it's not too bad since it's not my real name.

Also, The Owner isn't too bad as well.

I'd certainly like to put a collar on Eris and lead her around.

Well, the reason doesn't really matter at all.

If they ask us to pay we just have to do it.

Just as I was thinking lightly of it.

"Two human race and one magic race, but how much will it cost?"

"Humans are 5 scrap iron coins each. What species of magic race?"

"Supard race."

The staff member of the check point looked at Ruijerd with his mouth hanging open.

Then after looking at his bald head he let out a sigh.

It was a face without any motivation.

"Supard race are 200 small green coins."

"2... 200 coins?"

This time it was my turn to be surprised.

"Wh... why is it that expensive?!"

"Even if I don't say it you should understand right?"

A reason why it would be expensive to bring Supard race on the boat.

Out of all the food I've eaten on the Magic Continent this would be the best one.

"This is delicious!"

Eris was eating it all happily while making a mess.

During this past year, she seems to have completely forgotten Asura Kingdom style table manners.

Using the knife in your right hand to slice the food, and then stabbing it with a fork and bringing it to your mouth.

At the very least she wasn't just picking up the food with her hands and putting it into her mouth, but there were no manners about it.

If Edona saw this, she would probably cry.

Is it my responsibility?

"Eris. Your manners are bad!"

"Mogumogu? Who cares about something like manners."

Even Ruijerd has better manners.

Although this one is also lacking some elegance.

He doesn't use the knife at all and cuts the food up with just the fork.

Just sliding the fork across them and the food gets cut through as if it were butter.

If we proceed carefully, we could probably manage it somehow or other, but since it's me who doesn't pay enough attention to his feet, somewhere I would most likely make a fatal mistake.
