Mimizuku to Yoru no Ou (ミミズクと夜の王 ''Mimizuku and the King of Night'') is a light novel by Kougyoku Izuki, and happens to be her first work.  It won the Grand Prize in the 13th Dengeki Novel Contest.  The book is a stand-alone work, but the author has also written a pseudo-sequel entitled The Poison-Breathing Princess and the Stone Star.
