Baka-Tsuki Global Rule Changes (April 2014)

The following Baka-Tsuki rules have been officially added:

Oni's old project startup guidelines are no longer in effect.

Discussion of these rules should be taken to the Baka-Tsuki Forums.

Key Changes Summary:

1). The requirement for full project recognition has been raised to ONE VOLUME.

  • By one volume, we mean one whole volume (not scattered chapters that sum to a volume after you add them together)
  • Note that some special exceptions exist where a project may be raised to full project status without having a whole volume (ie: One-shots)

2). The ATP tag is no longer in use. All newly created projects should be tagged with {{teaser|English}}

  • This tag should not be removed until a Supervisor approves the project to full-project status.
  • The [[Category:Pending Authorisation]] should be added to a project that has fulfilled minimum requirements and is pending approval to full project status.

3). Several things have been renamed:

  • "Project Supervisor" has been renamed to "Project Manager" -- Can be any member of a translation project, and has the privileges to control Project-Specific Guidelines
  • "Project Administrator" has been renamed to "Supervisor" -- Can only be occupied by a Wiki Supervisor (or above). Has privileges to deliver punitive action.

4). Rule Clarification: Project Managers have the authority to change Project-Specific Guidelines and have the final word in all disputes related to translation.

  • Basically, Project Managers have the power to run their projects however they want (should they desire). However, they should stay reasonable. Wiki Supervisors hold authority over Project Managers and can veto unreasonable guidelines.

5). Notify Baka-Tsuki Supervisors at the Administration Contact Page for all important events, including:

  • When a project overview page is newly created on the Wiki
  • When a project has reached full project approval requirements
  • When you are assuming Project Manager responsibilities for a project
