Joining projects and starting new ones

Hello, I think I can help you with some of the questions you've asked Onizuka-gto. General guidelines on joining new projects can be found here. I see you're already familiar with registration pages, so for Alderamin, the other thing in there I'd suggest is contacting Veracitea at his/her talk page; since he/she is an active translator, you two can discuss what parts you'd each like to translate (ie some translators like to complete a whole volume themselves).

For starting a new project, the guidelines can be found here. But if you don't think you're up for creating the teaser project page ("project overview page") yourself, you can either post your translation or ask for help creating the page in Usotsuki Mi-kun to Kowareta Ma-chan's future project suggestion thread in the forums. (Though the forums have been having some difficulties recently, so you it's possible you'd have trouble logging on.) --Cthaeh (talk) 06:16, 14 August 2014 (CDT)

Alderamin on the Sky

I appreciate the offer to help me translate, but I was hoping for this to be a personal project >.< (maybe I'll update the page to reflect that soon) it seems that you have a lot of novels you'd like to translate, so I wish you good luck with those :) Veracitea (talk) 14:50, 14 August 2014 (CDT)

Tenkyou no Alderamin

Dear Jsmi47,

The project mentioned is a teaser that lack both a administrator or manager, therefore welcomes any potential translators as it can get. However reading the discussion of the lead translator of that project,it does seem s/he express the desire to translate the entire volume (vol.1), as a lead translator s/he has now been assigned as the project Manager.

While the Baka-Tsuki policy allows freedom to contribute and deny exclusivity of any project to any one person that rely on a "first serve, first come" registration process, it is however highly encourage that you open a dialogue with the existing translator to avoid conflict.

As mentioned before, you have a vast number of projects here that you seem to be interested in and who would more then welcome you and i highly recommend that you take your time to check out the other projects before committing.

Whatever you decide, i look forward to seeing your contribution on Baka-Tsuki and thank you for the desire to help bring more light novels to the english speaking community.

And finally, may you have fun translating.

Best Regards,
