My Youth Romantic Comedy Is Wrong As I Expected

Yahari Ore no Seishun Rabukome wa Machigatte Iru. (やはり俺の青春ラブコメはまちがっている, Oregairu, My youth romantic comedy is wrong as I expected) is a light novel series written by Wataru Watari and illustrated by Ponkan8. The series is currently ongoing, with more than 10 volumes and few side story volumes already published. The series has been adapted into an anime, of which 1st season aired between April 4 and June 27, 2013, and 2nd season (subtitled Zoku or TOO in the U.S. version) aired between April 3 and June 26, 2015. The series attained 1st place in the Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi! 2014 and 2015.

Story Synopsis

Yahari Ore no Seishun Rabukome wa Machigatte Iru. is a romantic comedy which revolves around antisocial high school student, Hachiman Hikigaya, who has no friends, no girlfriend, and a severely distorted view on life. When he sees his classmates talking excitedly about living their adolescent lives, he mutters, "They're a bunch of liars." When he is asked about his future dreams, he responds, "Not working." In an attempt to fix Hachiman's twisted personality, his teacher forces him to join the volunteer 'service club', where the only other member happens to be one of the school's most beautiful and smartest girls, Yukino Yukinoshita.
