I agree with you there. I opted out of it because it's a hassle for me. I'm doing the edits on Microsoft Word, so when I copy paste it doesn't carry over the italics. I know that I'm missing some of the italics already (though I do try to manual put them in) and having more of them will just create more errors in my copy-paste failing. As far as my edits are concerned I'm going to continue doing the ______, he thought format. Though of course, if you or anyone else wants to change it, I don't mind at all. --Skies (talk) 18:56, 21 November 2012 (CST)
That macro sure is nice. Thanks. undesco (talk) 02:24, 23 November 2012 (CST)
I, uh. Gave it a shot and failed miserably. Well, I don't really desire to cause myself more things to do and I think I'll just do as I've always done. Yes, yes. I fail. D: --Skies (talk) 18:55, 24 November 2012 (CST)
Just wanted to stop by and say thanks for giving some love to the old Index novels. They look great! --Lofthouse (talk) 03:25, 20 January 2013 (CST)
I've read your comments on Rakuin no Monshou and edited them in the text. Thanks for pointing them out! --Dohma (talk) 04:17, 16 April 2013 (CDT)
British English vs. American English
The difference is not an easy thing to explain. And yes most of the the differences are in spelling of word and their usage. Examples: . In British English when you are telling some one that you are going to check the engine of a car you would say 'I'm going to check under the bonnet' where as in American English you would say 'I'm going to check check under the hood' . In British English instead of going to use the 'toilet' or 'bathroom' you go to use the 'loo'.
Now as far as things are concerned in the LN series of High School DxD the following will be true:
Angels, Fallen Angels, Demons, Yokai, Norse gods, Greek gods: will tend to use the more 'formal' way of speaking that is represented by the use of British English since most have been around since the start of time especial when they are talking to the other groups so that there is little misunderstanding in their conversations. you will also notice that the way their 'societies' are structured tends to be more like that of nobility.
Humans, Resurrected Demons: Will talk in a less formal way(use of slang and such).
Also in High School DxD by using British English it allows better conference of how the author was trying to express things.
Ok, thanks much for your advice! In future, will do as you said. My first time doing, so apologies for the total 'spam' of my edits. Keeping a copy out in the computer will surely help allot. Oh, I was wondering I did some unnecessary edits in Daimaou. How do I undo it? I tried undoing but not possible. Still quite new to this wiki layout. Sorry if this Q sounds stupid.
Also, regarding the talk on js06, thanks for clearing it up! Well, as a matter of fact, I only understand the narrative and dialogue part. However, I am lost at the quotes (double/single) part. I was taught to put single quotes on those. But, since its clarified. I will leave it be :) his works are really precise. thanks again for your help! Hope you will give more tips/advice if needs be! I will listen! :) - - "Rukiabankai (talk) 09:04, 26 May 2013 (CDT)"
Alright, will be trying to undo the wrongs I have made once I edit Chpt 2 :). Oh! Thanks again! I roughly understand and will try it out. Hm, so far you have been helping me out. Hope if its alright to ask you one more Q. Its alright if you do not answer :) your help will be doing wonders to me. If you accept: The Q - Who can do major edits? From what I read, the major edits are for awkward grammar. Some examples I found are: 'Recently, there have been fewer proper students and people who act out of a sense of justice or a desire to help others are only laughed at. ' or 'so most everyone ends up in the occupation they want.' or 'Doctor, diplomat, engineer.' Well, to me, I have no way to edit it unless I do some huge change to it or its of no error. Hope you can help me out if not I will find someone, or do you know any person? Terribly sorry for all the questions. Hope you are not annoyed! Thanks again! - "Rukiabankai (talk) 03:04, 27 May 2013 (CDT)"
