I find I sometimes read on my Baka-Reader, but don't have the time to correct typos i see while i'm reading. I later log in a can't remember where the error is. Proofreading over the phone is annoying so I will record pages and rough locations that i need to revisit in the future when i'm logged on via PC. If someone wants to do the fix before I do and they get the idea from my page, please let me know so i can scratch it off my list.

Introduction

Welcome, I am Winlex. I'm a huge fan of light novels, manga, and anime. I am also a gamer, I'm a big fan of sci-fi, and I wear glasses. I am a scientist, engineer, mathematician. Does that make me a nerd, geek, or otaku?

I come read here often so i figure I can at least contribute my proofreading skills as I'm reading. I also have some (as in not a lot) coding skills so I will fix any formatting issues i run across too. In fact, I'll probably improve my skills on this page. Look forward to how i jazz this page up even more in the future. As much as I'd love to translate, my skills in Japanese or other non-English languages are next to non-existent. I'm officially signed up to edit Seikoku no Ryuu Kishi. Yes, I finally took the dive and committed to a specific project. But I still may float around during boring periods of my life. If I go crazy while editing a project, forgive me kindly and leave a message on my Talk Page. So far, I've only pissed off one translator so i'm doing pretty good. I do admit though, i definitely went overboard and so he was right to lay the smack down on me. I won't be doing anything near that extreme without permission again.

I'm always on the lookout for new recommendations. according to my calculations, I have read only 42 of the over 125 Light Novels available on B-T. I'm not saying any of the stories are bad, I just want to read the best of the best before getting to the potentially bad stories. The one recommendation i received so far turned out to be pretty good. Please see my Talk page to send more. My goal: to have 5 times as many recommendations as complaints by the end of the summer.

All books in my Reading List are of course recommended by me. Books with volume and chapter information are licensed work or soon to be. The volume in chapters are the last chapters I was able to read before it became unreadable on B-T. If the book series suddenly starts sucking after that volume, I won't know for a few years.

Updates

It's exam time so all my B-T time is extremely limited. Please be patient with me. I too don't like my page being only half done.

General

I am currently reformatting my reading list to pop out more. I'm only highlighting a maximum of 4 novels per category but the rest of the reading list is readily available just by clicking "show" in the upper right corner of the section. I haven't fully figured out the color codes yet. But in the next week or so, I will be making many small changes.

Seikoku no Ryuu Kishi

I will start editing as soon as exams are done. As always, complaints are to be sent to file 13 on my Talk page.

Reading List

Recommendations

I am open to suggestions for additional novels. Just leave the recommendations in my Talk page. The ones I like will make its way to my Reading list.

The Proofreading Watchlist

I find I sometimes read on my Baka-Reader, but don't have the time to correct typos i see while i'm reading. I later log in a can't remember where the error is. Proofreading over the phone is annoying so I will record pages and rough locations that i need to revisit in the future when i'm logged on via PC. If someone wants to do the fix before I do and they get the idea from my page, please let me know so i can scratch it off my list.
