Iris on Rainy Days (雨の日のアイリス / Ame no Hi no Iris) is a light novel written by Takeshi Matsuyama and illustrated by Hirasato. The novel is ranked 10th in the "This Light Novel is Great! 2012 (このライトノベルがすごい! 2012)" ranking. It's part of the "Flower" series, along with Freesia of the Snow Wings and Amaryllis in the Ice Country.

Story Synopsis

The story is centered around a cute android who initially had a happy life with her master who dearly loved her. But she was then struck by a series of misfortunes and ended up in a robot-equivalent of a concentration camp. Through experiencing and witnessing the sufferings towards herself as well as the people/robots around her, she eventually gained a better appreciation of life.

Characters Introduction

Iris Rain Umbrella

A cute android who lives a happy and peaceful life with her master, Wendy von Umbrella, but then one day...

Wendy von Umbrella

A famous scientist in robotics and Iris's master. She really likes teasing poor Iris.

Lilith Sunlight

A joyful and friendly android who is also sharp-tongued. She quickly becomes friends with Iris.

Volkov Galosh

A huge robot with a stuttering voice and slow and clumsy motions. He seems to get along well with Lilith.
