3			携帯の時計には、 確かにそんな時間が刻まれていた。	My phone's clock is certainly showing the right time.
4			昨日の金曜日… 久々の開桜社は、変わらず修羅場だった。	Yesterday was Friday... It's been a long time since I visited Kaiousha. Nothing’s changed, it’s the same drama as usual.
5			麻理さんになんか理不尽な叱られ方をして、 鈴木さんに『ずっとほっとくから』って謎なこと言われて、 勘を取り戻す暇もなく、家に辿り着いたのが確か八時。	Apart from Mari-san's unreasonable scolding, Suzuki-san also mentioned something along the lines of "Because you didn't care about it". I wasn’t able to get a moment's time to get a breather, and the clock already showed 8 pm when I got back.

9			眠い目をこすりながら開くと、 ベッドの上に、怒り狂いながらも麻理さんが渡してくれた、 予想通り悪趣味満載なグァム土産のキーホルダーがあった。	As I open my eyes, I look at the weird key holder from Guam, which Mari-san gave me while she was in a fit of anger.
10			…年末に海外取材に行ってたのすら知らなかったことも、 怒りを買った要因の一つだったっけ。	...Seems like one of the reasons she got mad at me was that I didn’t even know she went overseas for an interview.

25			開店直後の店内は、 当然ながらまだそれほど席が埋まってないにもかかわらず、 スタッフだけがテンパっているという異常事態だった。	As I expected, the restaurant didn’t have many customers right after opening. But for some reason an unprecedented incident occurred which caused the staff to panic.
26	佐藤	Satou	「さっきも電話で話した通りっす。 ホールが全然足りないんすよ…」	"It’s just like I told you on the phone. We don't have enough people for the dining area..."
27	中川	Nakagawa	「離さない～、もう二度と離さない～。 さあ一緒に死のうね～」	"I won't let you go~ not for a second time~ Now, let's die together~"
28			泣きながらまとわりついてくるホールチーフを引き剥がし、 俺は素早く店内に目を走らせる。	I pushed away the hall chief who clinged to me with teary eyes before examining the situation of the restaurant.

34			泣きそうな声の（というか泣いていたなきっと） 佐藤の電話の内容は…まぁそんな感じだった。	Satou explained with a crying-like voice (I'm sure he's crying)... which was more or less the content of his call.
35			もう少し詳細に言うと、 開店３０分前に店に電話がかかってきたらしい。	To break this down into details, a call came in 30 minutes before opening time.
36			それは、『熱が３９度もあり起きられない』という、 喉から絞り出すような島本さんの声だったとか。	On the other end of the line was Shimamoto-san, who was struggling to even say he was unable to get up because of a high fever of 39 degrees.
37			ホールスタッフが３人から２人に減ってしまったことを、 けれどその時点ではまだ誰も慌ててはいなかった。	The hall staff was reduced to two people, but there's no one who panicked at that time.

120			俺がそんなふうに激しく怒ったのも、 そしてすぐに怒りを収めたのも、 ちょっとだけ、後ろめたかったからかもしれない。	Perhaps the reason why I got so angry at her but cooled down in a matter of seconds was because I felt a sense of guilt.
