4			ホールに灯っていた最後の照明を落とすと、 店内は暗闇に包まれる。	I turn off the lights in the hall, and the restaurant sinks into darkness.

11			もうすぐ日付が変わるにも関わらず、 普段からは考えられないほど多くの人が 店の前の道を通り過ぎるのを見て、杉浦がため息をつく。	Despite the fact that the day is about to change, there's an unnaturally high number of people outside the store, which makes Sugiura let out a sigh.

19			大晦日…	New Year's Eve...
20			初詣客で賑わう南末次の繁華街を、 人の流れに逆らって駅へと向かう俺と杉浦。	The downtown of Minamisuetsugu is crowded with people heading towards the shrine. So Sugiura and I head in the opposite direction, towards the train station.
21			結局、今週はずっと朝から晩まで グッディーズで働きづめだった。	In the end, we’ve done nothing but work since morning.
22			早番の時間に出てきて、遅番の時間に帰る。 時給稼ぎ放題の残業し放題。	We started an early shift, and finished late. Working overtime to earn extra cash.
23			普段なら店長の指導が入るところだけど、 発言力の低い代理店長と年末の人手不足が、 そんな建前を有名無実化した。	The manager would normally refrain us from doing that, but since the substitute manager doesn’t really have a say in the matter, and we’re lacking in staff at the end of the year, it kind of became a well known tradition.
24			何しろ、この時期に計算できる戦力が “二人”常駐してるのは、誰にとってもありがたい。	In any case, anybody would be grateful if two extra people came to assist during this busy time.
25	小春	Koharu	「あと１５分で今年も終わりですね」	"Just 15 minutes left until the end of the year."

27			杉浦は、年末年始の早番と遅番の 全シフトに刻まれた俺の名前の横に、 当然のように自分の名前をこれまた全部書き連ねた。	"Sugiura's name always appears to be beside mine in the shift list for the New Year period — the morning shift, the night shift, all the shifts — as if it were natural of her to ensure that all of our shifts were aligned."
