4			麻理さんに居残りを叱られつつ、 麻理さんの回してきた膨大な量の調べ物を必死でこなし、 やっぱり矛盾を感じつつ家に辿り着いたのが確か６時。	Getting yelled at by Mari-san for working too late, finishing up the crazy amount of work she asked of me, and then coming home after those contradicting activities, all in all took me until around 6 o'clock.
5			今日は日曜日。	It's Sunday today.
6			一週間のうちで唯一、 自由な時間を持て余してしまう、忌むべき日。	The sole detestable day of the week for me, given that I have a lot of free time that I don't know what to do with for myself.
7			だから昨夜は意識を失う直前まで働き、 なんとか夢も見ずに済むくらい、 深い眠りに落ちたところだったのに…	That's why I worked until I almost passed out last night, barely managing to fall into a sleep so deep I couldn't even dream, and yet...

23			店長用の椅子に、心地悪そうに腰掛けているのは、 この店のキッチンチーフの佐藤。	Sitting in the manager's seat with distress written all over his face is the kitchen chief, Satou.
24	佐藤	Satou	「そんなこと言われてもっすねぇ… 北原さん辞めちゃったときも大変だったんすよ。 人を３人増やしても追いつかなくなっちゃって」	"I can't really deny that, but... Your resignation was really tough on the rest of us. We were still in pretty bad shape even after getting 3 more people."
25			店長を除けば最古参で、しかも俺より二つ年上なのに、 何故か俺に敬語を使う、少しばかり弱腰な幹部候補。	The manager aside, he's the one with the most experience here, not to mention he's two years older than me. But despite all that, this slightly cowardly backup manager always speaks so politely to me.
26	春希	Haruki	「全部マニュアルにして残したよな。 俺の見込みだと４人いれば回るはずだったんだけど？」	I left it all in the manual, didn't I? The way I see it, just 4 people would be enough to run this place."

29			決して使えない人じゃないんだけど、 確かに一人で店を回すとなると、 どうしても不安がつきまとう。	I wouldn't go so far as to call him useless, but leaving him to manage the store by himself does worry me quite a bit.

34			俺がこの店でバイトをしていたのは、 二年の始めから三年の春先にかけての一年ちょい。	I was working here from the start of my second year until the spring of the third, so about a year in total.
35			今まで入れていたバイトに慣れてしまい、 いくら働いても倒れる限界まで疲れなくなったから、 いつ入っても回っていなさそうなこの店に移った。	Since I got too used to the job before that, I didn't feel tired no matter how hard I pushed myself. That's why I came here, where it always seemed busy no matter what time of the day it was.

63			佐藤には失礼だけど、 店長を除けばこの店で一番使えるスタッフで、 俺の恐怖政治の一番の理解者だった記憶がある。	This might be a little disrespectful to Satou, but I do remember her as the most useful staff member here behind the manager, and the one who best understood my reign of terror while I was still working here.	This is probably a reference to the historical Reign of Terror, but any description to make his leadership habits seem scary can work here.
