15			具体的には、ハワイ土産で定番の マカダミアナッツチョコを一人につき一粒ずつ。	Basically, one ball of Hawaiian Macadamia Nuts Chocolate each.
16			…それでも、某バイト先で一緒だった チョコ○ビー一粒を配る人に比べたら、 随分と良心的なので文句を言う気にもなれなかったけど。	...Even so, I can’t really complain, as compared to a certain someone from one of my previous part-time jobs, who gave everyone one single tiny piece of Choco Baby each, this is actually quite generous.

21			ここ数日、コンビニからデパ地下まで、 バリエーション豊かなチョコレートで埋め尽くした 製菓業者の、その企業努力が報われる日。	It’s a day where confectionery workers are rewarded for their hard work over the past few days, when places from convenience stores to the shops in the basement of department stores stock up on a vast variety of chocolate.
22			そして俺にとってはもう一つの、 そして全然重みの違う記念日でもあり…	And it’s also an important anniversary to me, for a different reason...
23	松岡	Matsuoka	「ところで北原？　お前、今年は何個くらい貰えそう？ できれば誤差プラスマイナス１くらいで 答えて欲しいんだけど」	”By the way, Kitahara. How many do you think you’ll receive this year? If you can, I'd prefer it if you answered with an error margin of one.”

139			俺が席から立ち上がると、 目の前で吊革に掴まっていた中年の女性が、 また俺の方に気遣わしげな目を向けてきた。	I stand up from my seat, and a middle-aged woman holding on to one of the hanging straps looks at me worriedly.

141			さっき、このご婦人に優先席を譲られた。	This woman had given up her priority seat to me.
142			…どうやら今の俺は、傍目に見ても異常なくらい、 全身を汗で濡らしていたらしかった。	...It seems even people around me could notice how abnormally soaked in sweat I was.

145			電車に乗った瞬間、 俺の体に様々な変調が一気に訪れた。	The moment I got on the train, lots of changes occurred in my body.
146			頭痛と吐き気と寒気… 心臓は早鐘のように打ち鳴らされ、 吊革を掴もうとした手は面白いくらいに震えていた。	I had a headache, and I felt nauseous and cold… My heart started beating like an alarm bell, and the way my hand was shaking as it hung onto one of the hanging straps was almost comedic.

166			電車の中で待ち望んでいた寒い風が、 ホームの階段から強く吹き下ろされていた。	The cold wind I was waiting eagerly for on the train blows powerfully from above the platform stairs.
167			けれど、今、この逆風に逆らって ホームを昇っていかなきゃならない俺にとっては、 顔にかかる乾いた冷たさが恨めしかった。	But because I had to go against that wind and get off the platform, I felt nothing but hatred toward the dry cold wind blowing in my face.
